Introduction

In DSH Web conversations, directly quoting previous replies or correcting sent messages often requires cumbersome steps. dsh-question-jump-bar aims to address these interaction pain points and provide a conversation experience closer to reasonix.

Plugin Overview

This is a DSH Web plugin maintained by popeye1113. It primarily provides three core capabilities: quote-based follow-up for selected text, edit-and-resend messages, and a custom user message renderer.

Core Features

Selected Text Quote Follow-up

In a conversation, selecting any text — whether from a user message or an AI reply — displays a floating “Follow-up” button directly above the selection. Clicking it opens a reasonix-style quote panel above the input box, rather than directly inserting the selected text into the input box. After the user types a follow-up question in the input box and presses Enter, the quote is displayed above the message as an expandable/collapsible card.

Edit and Resend Messages

Each user message has a new pencil (edit) button in the bottom-right corner. Clicking it opens an edit panel prefilled with the original message content. After making changes and clicking “Resend,” a new message is generated. The original message is preserved.

Custom User Message Renderer

The plugin replaces DSH’s default conversation.chat.node key=”user” renderer. It can parse 【追问引用】...【/追问引用】 markers in message text and render them as expandable quote cards, while preserving copy and image rendering functionality.

Compatibility and Notes

The plugin is compatible with DSH 0.1.2+ (v1.3.0+) and adapted for the dsh-client-ui-chat UI split.
1. Ruler Changes: The question index ruler has been disabled (v1.3.0). Since DSH 0.1.2, an official built-in “turn navigation” feature is provided, so this plugin no longer registers its own ruler to avoid conflicts.
2. Message Management: DSH history messages are managed by the host and cannot be replaced in place. Edit-and-resend essentially generates a new message.

Installation and Enablement

Install it using the official command:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-question-jump-bar -w

After installation, restart DSH Web to make the new bundle take effect.

Usage Example

  1. Select a part of an AI reply in the conversation.
  2. Click the floating “Follow-up” button and confirm the quoted content in the quote panel (or directly type a follow-up question).
  3. Press Enter to send it; the quote card will be sent as part of the message.
  4. Click the pencil icon in the bottom-right corner of your own message, modify the text, and click “Resend.”
