Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, allowing developers to extend system capabilities by installing plugins. dsh-devforge is a standard-driven service factory and local agent workbench plugin for DSH. It is maintained by andyfan1094 and aims to address the lack of unified standards in agent development, cumbersome service-building workflows, and the complexity of multi-model integration and operations management.

The plugin provides Host capabilities (routing, tools, credentials, persistence) and a Web panel (console, configuration, visualization), integrating versioned development standards, one-click service generation, model access management, and remote operations into a single workflow.

Core Capabilities

Development Factory

  • Versioned development standards: Standards are stored in the standards/ directory and provided to Agents through system prompts and the devforge_standards tool. When creating a service, sub-agents are injected according to the templates.
  • One-click service generation: Uses the devforge_jobs tool to create independent sub-agents. The user preset cordis-250k is mounted by default (for automatic compression of 250k request packages for 1M-context models), falling back to the official cordis when unavailable.
  • Code layering and standards: Backend services are injected with Api, Bll/BAL, Dal, Model, and Utility/Utils layers by default, with Chinese comments and structured logging required.

Model Integration and Usage

  • Multi-model support: Integrates Zhipu GLM, Volcano Ark, and OpenAI-compatible gateways.
  • Zhipu Coding Plan: Reuses the DSH managed credential ZAI_CODING_CN_API_KEY for one-click setup of GLM-5.3 and GLM-5.3-Flash. Supports custom-named Key pools; official calls automatically switch to the next Key on 401/403/429, and usage is displayed separately.
  • Volcano Ark Agent Plan: Uses a Plan Key to call official plan models, synchronize reasoning tiers, and query 5-hour, weekly, and monthly quotas.
  • OpenAI-compatible gateway: Configure the gateway address and the managed API Key, then register it as an openai-gateway chat route. Supports inline display of image generation results.

Operations and Code Hosting

  • Remote operations: Supports SSH and WinRM, with batch execution, PTY/SFTP, port tunneling, and Windows process management.
  • Code hosting: Supports account and repository management for CNB and GitHub, providing Clone/Pull/Status/Commit/Push functionality.
  • Live sidebar: Provides Douyin live room connectivity, with filtering and voice broadcast for messages such as danmaku, gifts, and likes.

Visible Automation and Collaboration

  • Visible automation: Uses a foreground Chrome browser to persist login profiles, supporting multi-tab operations, page snapshots, and image uploads. Publishing and replying on Xianyu/Xiaohongshu use separate tabs so they do not overwrite each other.
  • Collaboration and backup: Integrates Feishu long-lived connections, supporting isolated sessions and completion notifications; supports CNB encrypted backup and cross-machine synchronization.

Maintenance and Appearance

  • Plugin updates: The console provides a Plugin Updates tab, compares the official website version manifest, and supports one-click upgrades (official-channel upgrades enforce SHA256 verification).
  • Theme customization: Built-in 14 themes (7 light and 7 dark, including multiple purple-tone themes), supports 8 accent colors and local/network wallpaper configuration, and supports light/dark coordination.

Installation and Activation

After installation, restart the DSH Web Host to activate the Host-side functionality.

Install from the official website (recommended)
The official website provides prebuilt packages, so no local build is required:

dsh plugin --profile web add https://modagentai.com/downloads/dsh-devforge-latest.tgz

Install from the GitHub source

dsh plugin --profile web add github:andyfan1094/dsh-devforge#main

After installation, go to the “Plugin Updates” tab in the console to check the official manifest.

Typical Usage

One-click service and configuration generation

Use the devforge_jobs tool to generate a service and its 250k compression configuration with one click. The “Tutorial” page in the console provides one-click configuration, writes the cordis-250k user preset (triggered at 25% of the window, retaining the most recent 32k raw text), and optionally sets it as the global default.

Connect to a gateway

Configure the gateway address and the managed API Key on the Coding Plan page, retrieve models via GET /v1/models, and register them as an openai-gateway chat route.

Instance restart

When DSH needs to be restarted, use the “Restart DSH” button in the console or the devforge_restart tool.

Notes

  1. Security and permissions: Keys do not enter the browser, logs, or ordinary configuration, and plaintext keys are not read or copied. Multiple sessions share one browser process and do not copy cookies.
  2. Restart restrictions: The restart endpoint requires loopback and same-origin requests; startup logs are written to $DSH_HOME/logs/dsh-web-restart.log.
  3. Version verification: Official-channel upgrades enforce SHA256 verification.
  4. Production environments: Keys already configured in legacy derived slots _2…_6 are automatically merged into the Key pool during upgrades. Do not experiment directly on production instances.

Conclusion

dsh-devforge integrates development standards, service generation, model management, operations, and collaboration tools into the DSH ecosystem. For developers who need standardized development workflows, unified multi-model Key management, and complex operations tasks, this plugin provides a complete path from standards to implementation.
