Introduction¶
The Web client for DeepSeek Harness (DSH) renders left-to-right (LTR) by default. When Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, or Syriac content appears in the interface, the characters themselves may be correct, but on-screen layout can become messy: bullet points remain on the left, table column order is reversed, or sentences mixing Latin and RTL text are reordered incorrectly. The dsh-client-ui-rtl plugin aims to resolve this rendering issue by marking text direction during rendering, keeping the LTR layout unaffected and correcting only RTL content.
Plugin Introduction¶
This is a fun skin-style plugin for the DeepSeek Harness Web client, primarily intended to handle text direction. It does not change the page layout; it only addresses the display direction of text content.
Basic Information
* Plugin name: dsh-client-ui-rtl
* Owner: haythamat
* License: MIT
* Stars: 1
Core Features¶
The plugin uses a script-driven heuristic algorithm to detect and correct text direction:
- Automatic script recognition: It can identify content in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, and Syriac.
- Mixed text handling: It correctly handles content that mixes Latin characters and RTL text.
- Layout correction: It fixes alignment issues with bullet points and tables so that they follow RTL reading conventions.
- Non-invasive: It does not change the overall page layout; it only applies direction markings to text content.
Installation and Activation¶
Installing this plugin does not require modifying any configuration files; the plugin handles patching on its own.
- Run the following command to add the plugin to the Web configuration file:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:haythamat/dsh-client-ui-rtl
- After installation, restart the
dsh webprocess to make the changes take effect.
Typical Usage¶
After installation and restarting dsh web, the plugin runs automatically in the background. When an agent returns text containing any of the languages above, the system automatically applies the correct text direction attributes. Users do not need to perform any manual configuration or switching.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Scope: Primarily used to demonstrate and experience correct display of RTL text in the DSH Web interface.
- Limitations:
- Text direction only: This plugin corrects only the reading/writing direction of text (the
dirattribute) and does not mirror page layout (for example, the sidebar remains on the left). - Editor unchanged: The input box (Composer) remains as-is and is not modified.
- Validation scope: Currently, only Arabic has been validated. Hebrew, Persian, Syriac, and Urdu are included in the recognized character range, but they have not yet been reviewed by fluent readers.
- Text direction only: This plugin corrects only the reading/writing direction of text (the
- Ecosystem context: The DSH plugin ecosystem is maintained by the community. This plugin has no direct affiliation with the official DeepSeek or High-Flyer teams; it simply exists as an independent project in the catalog.
Summary¶
The dsh-client-ui-rtl plugin uses simple script detection logic to resolve display inconsistencies in the DSH Web client when handling mixed multilingual content. For developers or users who need to display RTL language content such as Arabic in the interface, it is a lightweight solution. For more details and source code, see the GitHub repository.
