DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a modular design, and developers typically need to switch between multiple windows to handle usage statistics, model configuration, and task monitoring. dsh-dock is a feature dock plugin that registers, enables, and disables all small features on a single panel. It organizes usage accounting, model settings, balance lookup, task animations, notifications, runtime status, image understanding proxy, remote access, and mini games. Each feature is an independent module with its own registry and switch, without affecting the others.
Core Features¶
- Usage Logging: Records all LLM API calls and supports Token/cost statistics, custom rates, multi-tier time-based pricing, and CSV export.
- Model Settings: Edits each Provider’s model catalog, input types and thinking-effort levels, and image capability declarations.
- Model Balances: Displays account balances for all model Providers and auto-refreshes every 5 minutes.
- Task Animations: Provides 19 runtime animations (including Space Expedition, Nebula Tide, etc.). Speed automatically increases with task throughput, and includes a 3D desktop companion.
- Task Notifications: Sends notifications for task completion, anomalies, and confirmation requests. Supports 6 alert sounds, browser system notifications, and DingTalk/Feishu group bot pushes.
- Runtime Status: Provides a read-only overview of task runtime status, including phase, elapsed time, turns, tools, Tokens, and more.
- Fun Games: Includes 10 mini games to pass the time while tasks are waiting (Gomoku, Tetris, etc.).
- Image Understanding Proxy: Features such as image recognition (visionproxy).
- Remote Access: Provides a remote entry with username/password login, listens on 0.0.0.0, and supports a mobile PWA experience.
- Session Area Companion Controls: Displays model balances and usage logging in the session input area; click to navigate.
Installation and Enablement¶
dsh-dock must run in the DeepSeek Harness (dsh) environment. The host side must have the following peerDependencies installed: @deepseek-ai/dsh-credentials, @deepseek-ai/dsh-llm, @deepseek-ai/dsh-settings, and @deepseek-ai/schemastery. Node.js 18+ is required.
Install it with npm:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-dock
Usage¶
- Start dsh:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web - Find the Feature Dock button at the bottom of the left sidebar and click it to open the feature panel.
- Configure the Show/Hide Session Page feature separately from the dialog footer or the settings page.
In Usage Logging, click Unit Price Settings and fill in the actual unit price for each model. Multi-tier time-based pricing and weekend/holiday off-peak rates are supported. In Task Notifications, configure DingTalk or Feishu group bot pushes (the Webhook URL must be provided).
Notes¶
- For source installation, run
npm installinside the source tree first to install dependencies, then usedsh plugin --profile web add link:...(becauselink:installation does not resolve dependencies automatically). - Within the same profile, only one package with the same name can exist. Uninstall it before installing a new one.
- Plugin data is persisted in the host configuration.
