DeepSeek Harness (DSH) displays a list of files generated or modified in the current turn below the response after a conversation ends. When there are many deliverables or long file names, the built-in deliverables list automatically collapses into a single line and shows a hint such as + N files. The default interface can indicate that more files are available, but it does not allow you to manually expand and view the full list.

dsh-deliverables-toggle is a Web UI plugin that adds manual expand and collapse functionality to the deliverables list at the end of a DeepSeek Harness conversation. The plugin is maintained by zheng16965 and is licensed under the MIT License.

Core Features

  1. UI Replacement: Overrides DSH’s built-in deliverables list component.
  2. Interaction Control: Supports manual expansion and collapse operations.
  3. Smart Collapsing: When content exceeds a single line’s width, click the hint to expand all.
  4. Chip Display: After expansion, all deliverable files are displayed as chips and wrap to new lines.
  5. Click to Open: File chips remain clickable to open files.
  6. Preserved Features: Retains existing features such as “Show in Folder”.

Installation and Activation

Install the local plugin in a DeepSeek Harness project:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-deliverables-toggle

After installation, restart the DSH Web service and refresh the existing Web page to apply it. The default Web address is usually http://127.0.0.1:3080.

Typical Usage

  1. Have a conversation turn with the agent in DSH, ensuring that multiple files are generated in that turn.
  2. Observe the deliverables list at the end of the conversation. If it is displayed on a single line (for example, + 3 files), click the hint.
  3. The list expands, all files are displayed as chips, and clicking a chip directly opens the file.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Replacement plugin: This is a replacement UI plugin; it duplicates the selection and measurement logic from DSH’s built-in deliverables list. If the upstream ui-deliverables behavior changes, this plugin may need corresponding updates.
  • Internal dependencies: The plugin depends on the conversation.chat.turnTail chain slot and turn-scoped deliverables data. If DSH later renames these internal interfaces, the plugin needs to be updated.
  • No model impact: The plugin only changes the display format of the deliverables list at the end of a conversation. It does not change the behavior of file reference links in the assistant body, and it does not involve Token cost, tool calls, or Session log modifications.

Summary

By improving the UI, this plugin solves the problem of the deliverables list being difficult to view when many files are present. For more technical details and source code, refer to the project homepage.
