DSH uses a plugin-based architecture, allowing users to extend functionality. When handling a large number of sessions or performing long-term management, archived sessions can be easily overlooked in the main view. @swxs/archive-restore provides a dedicated management entry point, allowing users to view, search for, and restore archived sessions in the Web sidebar, avoiding manual searching or reliance on unstable command-line operations.

Core Capabilities

  • Browse Archive List: Displays the title, original workspace, and archive order (#N) for all archived sessions.
  • Search and Filtering: Supports searching by title, original workspace name, or Session ID prefix, and filtering by workspace chips.
  • Restore to Original Location: Click the ↻ icon at the end of a row, and the session returns to its pre-archive position, with its slot retained.
  • Safety: Only modifies archive bookkeeping metadata and does not touch session logs; archived sessions can be restored immediately even if they are still in the current process.

Installation and Activation

The installation command is as follows. After installation, you must restart the DSH Web client (or reload the Web profile) for the “Archive” entry to appear at the bottom of the sidebar.

dsh plugin --profile web add <url>

Typical Usage

  1. Click “Archive” at the bottom of the sidebar in the DSH Web client.
  2. Browse the list in the archive panel, or use the search box and workspace chips to filter.
  3. Hover the mouse over a session row and click the ↻ restore icon at the end of the row.
  4. After a successful restore, the row automatically disappears from the list, and the workspace view in the sidebar refreshes accordingly.

Notes

  • Uninstalling the plugin does not delete archived session data; it only removes the management entry point.
  • This plugin only modifies archive bookkeeping metadata and does not touch session logs.
  • Archived sessions can be restored immediately even if they are still in the current process.
