Introduction

The philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” For developers who need to continuously track information in a specific domain (such as AI trends or neuroscience research), manually subscribing to and reading RSS feeds is inefficient. luxueliu-intel-scout packages Python script logic as a DSH plugin, uses a local gateway to automatically patrol RSS/Atom feeds, filters and summarizes the content, and provides structured briefs.

What is it

luxueliu-intel-scout is a DSH plugin maintained by luxueliu. It supports two information tracks: AI briefs and neuroscience/consciousness briefs. The script uses a local OpenAI-compatible gateway (default http://127.0.0.1:4000) to filter the collected content by keywords, deduplicate it, and generate quick previews and detailed summaries. It also supports scheduled tasks for unattended operation.

Installation

Install the plugin using the DSH CLI.

dsh plugin --profile web add luxueliu/luxueliu-intel-scout

Configuration and Execution

  1. Prerequisites
    - Python 3.12+ (standard library only, no third-party packages)
    - A local LiteLLM or OpenAI-compatible gateway
    - The gateway key LITELLM_MASTER_KEY

  2. Key Configuration
    - The key is read from an environment variable or a secrets.env file in the same directory as the script.
    - The model name is controlled by the environment variable LUXUELIU_DAILY_BRIEF_MODELS (default ds-flash).

  3. Dry-run Testing
    - View the execution plan without calling the gateway.
    - AI track: python daily_brief.py run --dry-run
    - Neural track: python daily_brief.py run --topic neuro --dry-run

Usage Examples

Generate briefs without triggering ServerChan push notifications.

python daily_brief.py run --no-push
python daily_brief.py run --topic neuro --no-push

Scheduled Tasks

Use the provided PowerShell script to register Windows scheduled tasks.

# AI brief (default 18:00)
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File register-daily-brief-task.ps1
# Neuroscience brief (default 18:20)
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File register-daily-neuro-brief-task.ps1

Output and Privacy

  • Output path: Defaults to the 情报巡检/ folder in the same directory as the script.
  • Privacy: Only reads public RSS/Atom feeds; does not submit secrets.env, logs, or the daily brief; legacy GitHub search patrols and login-state collection are disabled by default.

Notes

  • Legacy GitHub search patrols (intel_scout.py / source_scout.py) are disabled by default.
  • Ensure that the gateway address and key are correctly configured.
