During the use of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), confirming the running Harness version and the package versions of mounted plugins is a basic step for troubleshooting environment inconsistencies or dependency conflicts. The existing plugin list only shows module names, enabled status, and Fiber status, without including version information. The dsh-version-inventory plugin fills this gap in the Web UI, providing visualized version display and export capabilities.

Plugin Overview

The plugin is maintained by kristol07 and follows the MIT license. Its core role is to read and display the running Harness version in the DSH Web UI, as well as the package version of each mounted plugin.

Core Capabilities

1. Dual-plane version reading

The plugin reads both mounting planes of Harness simultaneously:
* Global plane: the Loader tree based on configuration files (such as cordis.patch.yml).
* Preset plane: the composition for each Agent preset (agent.<preset>.yml).

Plugins mounted in both planes are listed separately, with their respective plane displayed.

2. Configuration summary and masking

Each mount point displays a configuration summary. The system automatically collapses nested values and masks the values of sensitive fields (such as key, token, secret, password, etc.). For preset configurations, which do not include runtime-mounted configuration, “config not visible” is displayed.

3. Version merging and identification

By resolving module specifiers, the plugin reads name and version from package.json. It merges by package directory rather than by package name, enabling detection of different version instances of the same package. Inferred versions are marked as (inferred).

4. Export and copy

  • Single-row copy: Clicking a row copies a string in the name@version format, which is convenient for use in a terminal or search box.
  • Report copy: Clicking the table header copies a complete, secure environment report. The report includes the Harness version, Node version, platform information, third-party plugin list, and so on, but does not include file paths, DSH_HOME, or user configuration.

5. Session tool integration

The plugin is registered as the dsh_version_inventory tool, allowing Agents to directly invoke this tool within a session to read environment information.

Usage

  1. View in the Web UI
In the DSH Web UI, navigate to Settings -> Plugins -> Versions. This tab is located next to the built-in plugin list.

  2. Read via the session tool
In an Agent session, you can directly call the dsh_version_inventory tool to retrieve environment information.

  3. Copy version information

    • Clicking any position in a specific plugin row copies plugin_name@version.
    • Clicking the table header copies the full environment report.

Notes

  • Version source: Cordis built-ins do not have version information, and the plugin displays them as Cordis builtins.
  • Report security: The exported environment report contains only shareable metadata and does not include local file paths or sensitive configuration.
  • Inference marker: If the Harness version cannot be obtained from package.json, the system infers it from loaded @deepseek-ai/* packages and marks it as (inferred).
  • License: Usage must comply with the MIT license.
