Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) session history is usually presented as a chronological log. dsh-history is a DSH client plugin maintained by konanzheng. It reads the historical events of the current session, organizes each interaction round into cards, connects them in an S-shaped blue → purple → pink gradient energy line, and summarizes process insights from tool calls.

Core Features

  • S-shaped energy trajectory and layout: Turn cards are arranged in a boustrophedon (plow-style) pattern, with the centers of the cards connected by a blue → purple → pink gradient energy line. Supports zooming the canvas with Ctrl/Cmd + mouse wheel (0.4× – 2.5×), with cursor-anchored zooming.
  • Process insights and summarization: Summarizes patterns from tool calls, such as locating (multiple grep/glob), reading/writing (multiple read/write), verification (bash), or errors. Cards display intent labels and milestone markers (⚠ first error / 🔧 fix / ⚡ key action).
  • Logic chain and details: Visualizes causal logic chains (such as read → modify → verify). Click the card header to open a detail window containing the full conversation, process summary, logic chain, final summary, and file operation details.

Installation and Enablement

  • Prerequisites: A local DSH development environment is required. The plugin is assembled as a cordis plugin package.
  • Dependency injection: The following modules provided by the host must be declared in dsh.client.inject in package.json:
    • @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-runtime: Used to obtain the current session ctx.sessions.list.current.
    • @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-slots: UI extension.
    • @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-connection: Used to read event history connection.api.sessions.history.
  • Assembly method: cordis.patch.yml already has the registration { id: dsh-history, name: dsh-history } built in, and the client bundle is loaded automatically when assembled with the DSH profile.

Typical Usage

  1. Open a session that has historical messages.
  2. Switch to the Trajectory view; the timeline opens automatically.
  3. Browse the cards from bottom to top: check intent labels, logic chains, Q/A summaries, and file bars.
  4. Click the card header to view the detail window (including the process summary, logic chain, final summary, and file details).
  5. Use Ctrl/Cmd + mouse wheel to zoom the canvas, and press ESC to close the detail window or timeline layer by layer.

Use Cases and Considerations

This plugin requires a local DSH development environment. Before installation, check the source code and license (Apache License 2.0).

Conclusion

dsh-history transforms cluttered conversation records into a visualized energy trajectory, helping developers quickly locate the AI’s thinking path and operational logic.
