Introduction

The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web GUI supports archiving sessions, but the sidebar menu can only hide them. It provides no entry point for restoring them, nor any way to delete session logs. This plugin is maintained by JIUYUE-SEP and fills this gap: it lists all archived sessions and provides the missing operations, such as restore, queued deletion, and permanent deletion.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following capabilities:
* List view: Lists all archived sessions, displaying title, workspace, directory, archive time, and disk usage.
* Restore session: Removes an archived session and returns it to its original position in the sidebar.
* Permanent deletion: Deletes the session log directory, projection cache, and workspace ledger after a second confirmation.
* Queued deletion / cancel queue: Queues sessions that cannot be deleted immediately for automatic deletion on the next startup; the queue can be canceled at any time.
* Release session: Requires the host to provide the agents.release(id) capability, used to unload resident sessions.
* Clean stale records: Removes records that no longer exist on disk.

Installation and Enablement

Use the official installation command to mount the dependency:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:JIUYUE-SEP/dsh-plugin-archive-shelf

After installation, DeepSeek Harness must be restarted (Ctrl+C and then rerun dsh web) and the page must be refreshed. Static client plugins are delivered with the page boot graph, so a simple refresh does not guarantee the plugin will take effect.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the Settings page and view the archived session list in Archive Shelf (located below Agent Presets).
  2. Click Restore to return a session to its original position in the sidebar.
  3. Click Permanent Delete to remove a session log.
  4. Click Queued Delete to handle sessions that cannot be deleted immediately, such as running or resident sessions.
  5. Click Clean to remove records that no longer exist on disk.

Important Notes

  • Internal API dependency: Restoring archived sessions depends on DSH internal APIs. If the product’s internal structure changes, the plugin may report errors.
  • Session deletion limitations: Resident or running sessions cannot be deleted directly. Use “queued deletion” (effective on the next startup) or the host-provided “release” capability.
  • Release capability requirement: The “Release” button requires the host to provide the agents.release(id) capability. If the host does not provide this capability, the button will not be shown.
  • Attachments and irrecoverability: Deletion does not reclaim attachments and is irreversible.
  • Archiving running sessions: The product allows archiving running sessions. The “Running” badge in Archive Shelf is used as a visual hint.

Development and Maintenance

The plugin has no build step and is published directly as pure JavaScript code. For development testing, run the two test suites via npm test (client contract/rendering + host behavior).
