In DeepSeek Harness, conversation operations are usually scattered across different parts of the interface. The working directory must be found in the sidebar, interrupting generation requires timing judgment, and “branching from a middle turn” does not exist as a native feature—you can only manually copy earlier conversation content into a new session and confirm on your own that nothing is missing.

The following introduces the dsh-round-rightclick plugin. It provides a radial right-click menu for DeepSeek Harness: right-click a specific turn in a conversation to run common session operations at the cursor position. The plugin is maintained by hmr-BH and uses the MIT license.

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides the following five actions:

  • Fork by turn: Create a branched session from a specific turn in the current conversation. The new session includes that turn and all earlier turns. The source session remains unchanged, making parallel comparison convenient.
  • Interrupt generation: Stop the currently running generation or tool call while preserving the existing conversation content.
  • Copy path and session ID: Write the full working directory path or the current session ID to the clipboard.
  • Open directory: Open the session’s working directory in the system file manager.
  • Export logs: Download a ZIP file containing the logs for the current session and its child sessions.

Installation and Enablement

Use the official installation command to install it:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-round-rightclick

After installation, restart dsh web and refresh the page for the plugin to take effect.

Typical Usage

  1. Right-click a completed prompt or response; the radial menu appears.
  2. Left-click a sector to execute the action, or use the keyboard arrow keys to select a sector and press Enter.
  3. Releasing the right mouse button does not trigger an action, so holding the right button and moving between sectors is safe.
  4. Press Esc or Tab, or click outside the menu, to close it.

Note that editable areas such as input fields and contenteditable elements retain the browser’s native right-click menu; the plugin does not take over these areas.

Use Cases and Notes

Use cases: Developers who need to create branches at specific historical points in a conversation, frequently copy paths or IDs, or quickly interrupt generation or export logs.

Notes:
* Directory opening limitation: The file manager can only be launched on the machine running DSH. Remote SSH sessions cannot open directories.
* Clipboard permissions: The copy function requires the browser to grant clipboard permissions to the page, and the page must be served over localhost or HTTPS.
* License: The plugin is MIT-licensed and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek.

After installation, the radial menu is integrated into DSH’s conversation interface, centralizing scattered operations at the cursor position and improving the efficiency of multi-turn conversation management and branch management.
