In day-to-day use of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), archived sessions are hidden from the sidebar. Although DSH provides built-in archive filters and unarchive actions, viewing archived records without changing the current session or restoring it to the main list requires a standalone reader. The dsh-plugin-archived-sessions plugin adds an entry to the sidebar and provides a read-only interface for viewing session records.
Plugin Positioning¶
This plugin is maintained by GroupWork888 and categorized as an online tool. Its core value is that it does not modify host state; it only reads archived session data in the browser, giving developers a convenient way to review historical logs.
Core Features¶
- Sidebar integration: Adds an ‘Archived’ entry at the bottom of the sidebar, displaying the real-time count of hidden sessions.
- Browsing and filtering: Once opened, the session list is sorted by most recent activity in descending order. The list includes a search box for filtering archived sessions by keyword.
- Read-only reader: Clicking any row in the list expands the session record in a read-only reader. The reader displays human prompts, assistant replies, the reasoning process, injected context (with tags), and tool call names.
- History pagination: Supports backward pagination to view the complete log, loading 30 messages per page.
- Multilingual and theme support: The interface supports English and Chinese and follows the application’s theme-aware styling.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installing, make sure the dsh command-line tool is installed.
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/GroupWork888/dsh-plugin-archived-sessions
After installation, restart the Web profile (dsh web) and refresh the page for the plugin to take effect. This plugin is built on the DSH 0.2.0-rc.1 client package and depends on the DSH web profile.
Typical Usage¶
- Open the ‘Archived’ entry at the bottom of the sidebar to view all archived sessions and their count.
- Enter keywords in the search box to quickly locate a specific historical session.
- Click a session row to read the full conversation record in the read-only reader.
- If you need to restore a session, use DSH’s built-in unarchive action rather than clicking inside the reader.
Notes¶
- Read-only mode: This is a read-only viewer. It does not restore sessions to the sidebar and does not call
archiveSessionto modify host state. - State synchronization: If a session has disappeared from the list, the row remains visible but disabled, and the logs cannot be accessed.
- Version dependency: The plugin strictly depends on the interface specification of the DSH 0.2.0-rc.1 client package.
By leveraging DSH’s existing data interfaces, this plugin enables independent browsing of archived sessions in the browser, making it suitable for developers who frequently review historical logs. The complete source code and catalog page are provided below.
