Introduction

In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), when managing multi-agent collaboration workflows, roles and task handoffs often need to be defined manually. The dsh-team-superflow plugin provides a standardized solution. By using a predefined fixed member roster and the spec-superflow state machine, it standardizes the development process (from requirements analysis to delivery) and provides visual progress tracking in the web interface.

Plugin Introduction

This is a plugin maintained by fengbin01. Its core function is to launch a team with a captain and five fixed members (spec writer, architect, engineer, reviewer, documentation maintainer). It splits the workflow into 8 stages and provides a visual step bar in the web interface.

This plugin was refactored from NanmiCoder/dsh-agent-teams and integrates the state machine model of MageByte-Zero/spec-superflow.

Core Features

Fixed Member Roster

Each time a team is created through agent_teams_create, a fixed roster of 5 members is registered. These members are activated only when they are first assigned to stage tasks within their responsibility scope:

Member Role Active Stages
spec-writer Spec Writer exploring · specifying · bridging
architect Designer / Architect specifying · bridging
engineer Engineer executing · debugging
reviewer Reviewer executing · debugging
docs Docs / Release executing · closing

State Machine Workflow

The team record maintains the eight-stage spec-superflow workflow:

exploring → specifying → bridging → approved-for-build → executing ⇄ debugging → closing
                                    │
└─ build gate: HUMAN approval before executing
(any non-terminal state) ─────────→ abandoned (terminal)

Key Features:
* Automatic Advancement: When all tasks in the current stage are complete, the team automatically advances to the next stage (enabled by default).
* Build Gate: The implementation process is frozen in the approved-for-build state until a human reviews the execution contract artifacts in the web panel and clicks “Approve Build.” The model cannot confirm the gate.
* Rollback: The captain can roll back to specifying (scope change) or bridging (contract drift); a bug causes executing → debugging, and after the fix it automatically returns.
* Stage-Tagged Tasks: agent_teams_create_task marks tasks as a specific stage, and the scheduler only dispatches tasks that fit the current stage and the member role scope.

Web GUI Visualization

A state machine step bar is added to the activity panel (eight-stage capsule indicators, overall percentage, task counts per stage, build gate badge), and data is refreshed from the persisted host state.

Available Tools

The plugin provides a set of commands for managing teams and tasks:

  • agent_teams_create: Create a team, register the fixed member roster, and start the exploring stage.
  • agent_teams_add_member: Add additional members outside the fixed roster (optional workflow stage scope).
  • agent_teams_remove_member: Safely remove a member, revoke their unfinished tasks, and interrupt their turn.
  • agent_teams_create_task: Create stage-tagged tasks with dependencies (defaults to the current stage).
  • agent_teams_reassign_task: Atomically retry/reassign/take over a task, revoking the old attempt.
  • agent_teams_claim_task: Claim a ready task and receive an attempt_id capability.
  • agent_teams_update_task: Advance task state/output; automatically advances the team after all tasks in the current stage are complete.
  • agent_teams_send_message: Directly send a message to the captain/member via a persistent mailbox.
  • agent_teams_status: Read the current stage, per-stage progress, member activity, tasks, artifacts, and build gate status.
  • agent_teams_advance_phase: Advance/roll back the state machine; the build gate requires manual approval in the panel.
  • agent_teams_delete: End the team and archive it (tasks, mailboxes, artifacts, and phase history are retained under archive/).

Installation and Enablement

Environment Requirements

  • DeepSeek Harness
  • Node.js version: ^22.19.0 || >=24

Installation Command

Run the following command in a terminal to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add https://gitee.com/quella01/dsh-team-superflow.git

Typical Usage

Natural Language Instruction

Use AgentTeams to add a dark mode to this repo, following spec → contract → implement → review.

Slash Command

/agent-teams refactor the auth boundary and produce the full execution contract and tests

Configuration Example

In a DSH configuration file, you can enable and configure the plugin:

- id: agent-teams
  config:
    stateDir: .agent-teams
    memberProvider: spawn
    memberModel: deepseek-v4
    memberMaxDepth: 1
    maxMembers: 8
    fixedRoster: true # false → 原始行为(空团队)
    phaseAutoAdvance: true
    promptSectionOrder: 117
    slashCommand: true

Notes

  • Build Gate: The build gate must be approved manually in the web panel.
  • Persistent State: Team records are persisted in the .agent-teams directory.
  • Local Development: Local clone and link are supported (link:~/path/to/repo); rebuild after modifying code to make changes take effect.
  • License: MIT.

Summary

dsh-team-superflow provides a standardized multi-agent collaboration framework for DSH. Through fixed role division and a visualized state machine workflow, it reduces the complexity of automated collaboration from requirements to delivery, making it suitable for development scenarios that require structured workflows.
