Introduction¶
Configuring remote access pairing in a DSH Web environment usually requires manual steps. To reduce this step, the dsh-pair-quick plugin adds a “Quick Pairing” entry to the settings page, providing one-click generation of pairing links and QR codes.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-pair-quick is a client plugin maintained by dsh-publish. It adds a new page to the DSH Web settings interface to enable one-click minting of remote access pairing links and QR code display. The plugin only provides the UI and token generation features; it does not persistently store credentials.
Core Features¶
The plugin includes the following features:
* New settings page: Adds a “Quick Pairing” page to the settings page.
* One-click minting: Click the button to generate a remote access pairing link.
* QR code display: Displays the pairing QR code in real time for easy scanning on mobile devices.
* One-time token: The generated link is a one-time token, valid for about 10 minutes.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the official installation command to add the plugin to the Web configuration file:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-pair-quick
After installation is complete, restart the dsh web process. Open the settings page in your browser, go to the “Quick Pairing” tab, click “Get Pairing Link”, and scan the generated QR code with your phone to complete pairing.
Precautions¶
- Dependency check: This plugin depends on the
/api/pair/issueendpoint ofremote-web-ui. Before use, ensure thatremote-web-uiis installed and has tunnel/LAN access correctly configured. - Security restrictions: The pairing link minting endpoint only allows access from loopback addresses (
127.0.0.1/::1). Requests from the local area network are rejected and return a 403 error. - Validity and privacy: The pairing link is a one-time token, valid for about 10 minutes. The plugin does not persistently store credentials here, following the principle of least privilege.
Conclusion¶
dsh-pair-quick simplifies the pairing process on the DSH Web side, making it suitable for scenarios that require frequent remote access pairing.
