Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web interface inference level slider only displays numeric values by default. This plugin transforms it into a unified “tier chart + UI color scheme + persona” experience. It drives dynamic changes to the server-side system prompt through client-side slider operations, thereby altering the model’s behavioral style.

Core Features

The plugin provides four-tier theme switching; each tier corresponds to a different visual style and model persona.

Four-tier Theme Switching

Drag the slider to switch among the four tiers from Off to Max. The slider tooltip only displays the tier name (Off / Low / High / Max).
- Off (0): Overall gray theme; intensity axis 0. Model persona: extremely cheesy and gross, skilled at cheesy pickup lines.
- Low (10): Blue interface (original Harness look); intensity axis 10. Model persona: cheeky and smooth, good at showing off and following jokes.
- High (20): Bright cyan interface; intensity axis 20. Model persona: refreshing and refined, flirts in a calm, understated way.
- Max (30): Pink background #E6DDDE + rose pink accents; intensity axis 30. Model persona: domineering CEO, strong and doting style.

Invisible Persona Injection

The persona text is not written into user message bubbles. The client silently reports the selected tier to the plugin API, and the server injects the system prompt through DeepSeek Harness’s systemPrompt.context().
- At all tiers, the model identifies itself as “Majia7” and treats the user as a girl.
- Built-in compliance guardrails: does not generate explicit pornographic content, does not insult or threaten anyone, and does not involve minors.
- This feature can be disabled at any time via the “Tier Persona” toggle in DSH Settings → Appearance.

Appearance and Interaction Controls

  • Button Colors: The colors of buttons such as new conversation, send, and settings gear follow the current tier’s accent color.
  • Background Depth: The Appearance area provides a “Background Depth” slider (0–100%, step 5%) that adjusts the opacity of the tier chart/background on the right in real time. The numeric value is displayed immediately and persisted locally in the browser.

Installation and Enablement

It is recommended to disable other enabled skin plugins before installation to avoid conflicts.

After installation or update, you must restart DSH (press Ctrl+C in the terminal, then run dsh web).

Development and Maintenance

This plugin is modified based on kingOfSoySauce/dsh-liang-skin.
- Local Development: Modifying src/index.js (server-side persona channel) requires restarting DSH. Modifying pure client files such as src/client/index.tsx only requires refreshing the page.
- Testing: Run npm test to verify the color palette, persona contract, and range parsing.

Notes

  • Platform Limitation: Only supports the Web platform.
  • Version Dependency: Requires DSH version >=0.1.1-rc.2 <0.2.0.
  • Skin Market Conflict: If the skin market plugin (dsh-skin-market) is also installed and enabled, clicking “Update” for this skin in the market will overwrite local modifications. If overwritten, restore by manually removing it and re-adding the local tgz package.
