Introduction

The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” In practical use, when managing multiple character settings, styled Agent presets, or frequently switching personas, relying on dynamic in-session plugins or manually maintaining configuration files is often inefficient.

Sidor_Character is a standalone companion plugin that provides SIDOR persona card management capabilities for the DSH Web GUI. The plugin supports batch import, management, and immediate application to the current session, or installing them as Agent presets for persistent style control. It is independent from the main skin Sidor_UI and the toolbox Sidor_box, integrates via official slots, and can coexist with them.

Core Features

This plugin provides the following features:

  1. Batch import persona cards: Supports multi-selection or drag-and-drop import of the .persona.md primary format, as well as SillyTavern character card JSON / pack JSON.
  2. Persona card management: Provides a list view, supporting viewing of name, tags, description, and status, and supports apply, disable, and delete operations.
  3. Apply to current session: Sends persona instructions to the current session via the official /api session.prompt interface, taking effect immediately and allowing changes at any time.
  4. Install as Agent preset: Converts a persona into a user Agent preset. Installing a new preset automatically replaces the old preset (single preset system).
  5. Format guides and templates: Provides tutorials and templates for .persona.md, SillyTavern cards, bulk packaging, and AI conversion prompts.

Installation and Activation

Sidor_Character is a static persistent plugin and is loaded automatically when DSH starts after being installed into a profile.

Installation command:

dsh plugin --profile web add <Sidor_Character 仓库路径>

After installation, you must restart DSH and perform a hard refresh in the browser (Ctrl + Shift + R) to make it take effect.

Usage

Batch Import and Formats

The plugin supports importing .persona.md files. This file format includes YAML Frontmatter and body content. The body part is the persona instruction, which is sent when applying and appended to the prefix field of @deepseek-ai/dsh-persona when installed as a preset.

Apply to Current Session

Sends persona instructions to the current session via the official /api session.prompt interface. This method is suitable for quickly testing different personas and can be enabled or disabled at any time.

Install as Agent Preset

Converts a persona into an Agent preset for persistent style. The system copies the standard preset and appends the persona body to the prefix field (DSH 0.1.5 and later) or the text field (0.1.4 and earlier). Due to the single preset system, installing a new preset automatically replaces the old preset.

Format Guides

The plugin includes built-in format guides and templates, which users can reference directly or copy with one click.

Technical Details and Limitations

  • Form: Static persistent plugin installed in the profile directory; loaded automatically when DSH starts.
  • Data storage: Persona card data is stored only in the browser localStorage.
  • RPC channel: The plugin has no host RPC channel. When host.call is detected as unavailable, it automatically falls back to Agent-mediated execution, sending commands via the official /api for the Agent to complete file operations.
  • Coexistence: Independent from Sidor_UI and Sidor_box; official slots coexist sorted by order.
  • Single preset system: Agent presets use a single preset system; installing a new preset overwrites the old preset.
  • Restart requirement: After installation, DSH must be restarted and the browser hard-refreshed to fully load it.
