Preface

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture, and Skills are the core components that define agent behavior. The mattpocock/skills repository provides 25 high-value skills, but the original documentation is in English. Direct integration requires translation and configuration. The following section introduces the dsh-mattpocock-skills plugin, which fully localizes this skill set into Chinese and wraps it as a DSH plugin, mounted through the ctx.skills registry.

Plugin Positioning

This plugin is a pure host-side Cordis plugin. It fully localizes the 25 promoted skills in the mattpocock/skills repository into Chinese, packages them, and registers them as a bundled-level (rank 600) skill provider. Users do not need to manually download and translate the skills; they can install and use them with one command via dsh plugin add.

Core Features

  • Localization of 25 skills: Includes 18 Engineering skills (such as code-review, tdd, diagnosing-bugs) and 7 Productivity skills (such as handoff, teach, writing-for-agents).
  • Bundle-level provider: Registered as a bundled-level skill provider with rank 600, providing lower priority while ensuring availability.
  • Zero external dependencies: Uses only Node.js built-in modules; the frontmatter parsing logic is implemented manually in lib/frontmatter.js and does not depend on an external YAML library.
  • Flexible invocation mechanism: 14 skills declare disable-model-invocation: true and support gesture invocation (/skill-name) only; 11 skills support automatic model triggering.
  • User overrides: Same-name skills in the user directory can override skills inside the plugin.

Installation and Activation

Installing this plugin requires DSH plugin commands. Assume the plugin is located in the local directory /path/to/dsh-mattpocock-skills:

# 方式一:通过本地链接安装(推荐开发调试)
dsh plugin --profile web add link:/path/to/dsh-mattpocock-skills

# 方式二:打包后安装
npm pack
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-mattpocock-skills-0.2.0.tgz

After installation, the DSH skill selector and /skill-name gestures can discover all 25 skills.

Typical Usage

After installation, DSH automatically loads these skills.

  1. Gesture invocation: For skills that can only be invoked via gesture (such as grill-me, wait-what), directly use /skill-name in the conversation to trigger them.
  2. Automatic triggering: For skills that can be invoked by the model (such as tdd, code-review, wizard), the model automatically recognizes and invokes them in appropriate task scenarios.
  3. Configuration initialization: On first use, it is recommended to run /setup-matt-pocock-skills first to complete the initial configuration.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

  • Applicable scenarios: DSH users who need a large number of high-quality engineering and productivity skills.
  • Copyright notice: The skill content is governed by the MIT License, and copyright belongs to the original author (Copyright (c) 2026 Matt Pocock). The plugin packaging code in this repository is also released under the MIT License.
  • Runtime mechanism: Provider registration is managed by the ctx.skills registry and is automatically unregistered when a fiber is destroyed; no manual cleanup is required.
  • Code security: The plugin code is located in the lib/ directory, the frontmatter parsing logic is implemented manually in lib/frontmatter.js, and no external YAML library is introduced.
