Introduction¶
In the development workflow of DeepSeek Harness, when a model is generating a response, developers often cannot directly perceive the exact duration of the current turn. This uncertain waiting state can easily interrupt the train of thought. The dsh-session-turn-eta plugin predicts the remaining time using an algorithm and displays it as a progress bar below the editor.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-session-turn-eta is a client-side plugin maintained by 778672151. It estimates the remaining time for the current turn by calculating the median rate of historical steps and the conditional median step count, and displays a progress bar below the input box.
Core Features¶
The plugin primarily provides the following visual feedback:
- Displays a prediction of the remaining time for the current turn.
- Displays a progress bar below the input box.
- Shows a percentage and human-readable time (e.g., ~12m 34s left).
- Fills and pulses when the turn completes.
- Turns red on failure or interruption.
Installation and Activation¶
- Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:778672151/dsh-session-turn-eta
- Restart
dsh web. - Send any message to view the progress bar.
