When conducting multi-turn conversations or developing multiple subagents in DeepSeek Harness (DSH), it becomes difficult to track parent/child session relationships and review the agent lineage as the number of sessions grows. Existing list-based interfaces make it hard to intuitively represent complex hierarchical structures. The dsh-conversation-map plugin provides a visual solution that automatically arranges all sessions in the current workspace according to their relationships.

This plugin is maintained by xyAxzy and aims to provide a real-time conversation map for the DSH Web UI. It automatically arranges all sessions in the current workspace into a tree structure based on parent-child relationships, helping developers quickly locate session hierarchy and runtime status.

Core Features

  • Tree-based automatic layout: Sessions are automatically arranged according to parent/child relationships. Parent nodes are placed on the left, while branched child sessions indent layer by layer to the right. Sessions at the same level are arranged vertically, making the structure clear at a glance.
  • Parent-child line avoidance: Parent-child connector lines are based on sampled Bézier curves. Session cards that the lines pass through are automatically moved to the nearest empty position within the workspace, ensuring the lines remain clearly visible.
  • Workspace theme color consistency: The workspace border, session card borders (with light/dark distinction between selected and unselected), and parent-child connector line colors all inherit the workspace theme color.
  • Grid-paper canvas: The background is grid paper that can be panned when zooming, while the workspace frame is a transparent, hand-drawn-style box with no shadow.
  • Automatic expansion: When a new session is created or a fork operation is performed, the canvas automatically grows taller, ensuring new cards do not overflow or overlap with existing cards.
  • Real-time status: Status dots visually display whether a session is running, awaiting interaction, or idle.
  • One-click navigation: Double-clicking a session card navigates directly to the corresponding session.
  • Zoomable canvas: Supports panning and zooming. You can also drag and reposition the workspace frame, and the position is persistently saved.

Installation and Enablement

Add the plugin using the official installation command:

dsh plugins add dsh-conversation-map

After installation, restart dsh web, and a “Conversation Map” entry will appear at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the map: Click “Conversation Map” in the lower-left corner to open the map tab.
  2. Jump to a session: Double-click any session card, and the page will navigate to that session.
  3. Create a branch: In the chat window, ask the Agent to spawn a subagent, or hover over a message point and click the fork icon. The map will automatically generate the corresponding parent-child connection and tree branch.
  4. Adjust the view: Drag the workspace title bar to move its position, and drag the corners to resize it.
  5. View details: Click a card to view the summary, key conclusions, or suggested next steps.

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is suitable for users who need to quickly locate subagents and review session lineage in complex conversation flows.

  • The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process.
  • It is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT) before installation.

With a visualized tree diagram, developers can more clearly manage the session structure within the workspace. Plugin address: GitHub.
