Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, allowing developers to extend its functionality. When handling image-related tasks, viewing, downloading, and annotating images are common needs. wsl043/dsh-image-viewer is a lightweight plugin designed for this scenario. It provides richer interaction than the native viewer, supporting zooming, region annotation, and download management.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following capabilities:
- Browsing and Zooming
Supports zooming centered on the mouse position, dragging, and two-finger pinch zooming. Double-clicking an image shows its original size. It supports fit-to-window, keyboard navigation, and multi-image browsing. - Image Information Display
Displays the image name, dimensions, and current zoom ratio. When viewing at 100% size, resizing the window does not cause the image to disappear. - Download Management
Supports downloading the original image and displays progress. During a download, it can be canceled or retried. Switching images or closing the viewer automatically cancels in-progress downloads. - Status Feedback and Isolation
Provides clear loading and error states, with retry when a failure occurs. Switching images resets the dragging state and isolates annotations for different images to avoid data confusion. - Region Annotation
Click to mark a region and edit notes next to the number. PressEnterto save, andShift+Enterto insert a line break. - Session Integration
When the native DSH image viewer is closed, the plugin adds the marked image and notes to the current session draft. This preserves existing text but does not send it automatically, avoiding duplicate additions. If the operation fails, retry is supported. - Theme Adaptation
Supports DSH’s light and dark themes, responsive layout, focus constraints, and reduced-motion settings.
Installation and Activation¶
Install via the plugin page or a terminal command.
Plugin Page Installation¶
- Open DSH’s Plugins → Add Plugin.
- Paste
dsh-image-viewer@0.1.6into “Package name or URL” and click Install. - Check the installation result, and refresh or restart as prompted.
Terminal Installation¶
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-image-viewer@0.1.6
Notes¶
- Permissions and Privacy
The plugin only reads image URLs already rendered by DSH, does not call models, and does not read provider credentials. - Annotation Data Persistence
Annotations are managed through DSH’s attachment and draft interfaces. Notes may be visible when the viewer is reopened within the page, but this does not mean they have been sent or permanently saved. - Uninstall Impact
Uninstalling the plugin restores DSH’s built-in image viewer. It does not delete images in the session or existing text content.
Summary¶
dsh-image-viewer focuses on the interaction details of image viewing, downloading, and annotation. By integrating with DSH’s draft interface, it makes it easier to transfer annotations into the session. It is suitable for developers who need to quickly mark images during development or debugging.
