Introduction

The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem emphasizes “everything is a plugin,” and skills are typically invoked through configuration files or code. In the Web UI environment, directly managing or switching skills incurs some operational overhead. The RedFox Skill Gallery plugin provides a visual solution for the DSH Web UI. It displays community skills from redfox-community-dsh as cards in the sidebar and supports real-time search, category filtering, and one-click invocation.

Plugin Positioning

RedFox Skill Gallery is a DeepSeek Harness Web client plugin for displaying RedFox community skills at the bottom of the Web UI sidebar. The plugin is maintained by redfox-data and released under the MIT license.

Installation and Activation

It is recommended to ensure that redfox-community-dsh is installed before installing the gallery plugin. If it is not installed, opening the gallery will automatically attempt to install it, but manual installation is recommended to avoid an additional restart step.

Install the prerequisite dependency:

dsh plugin --profile web add -w github:redfox-data/redfox-community-dsh

Install the gallery plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add -w github:redfox-data/redfox-skill-gallery

After running the commands above, you must restart dsh web for the changes to take effect.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following capabilities:
* Skill list: Lists all community skills in redfox-community-dsh.
* Category filtering: Supports filtering skills by category (Search, Trending, Finance, Tools, etc.).
* Card display: Displays each skill’s Chinese name, slug, and description in a card.

Usage Workflow

  1. Restart dsh web, refresh the page, and click the “RedFox Skills” button at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  2. The page switches to the card gallery view and displays all community skills.
  3. Use the category filter (e.g., All / Search / Trending, etc.) to filter skills by type.
  4. Enter keywords in the search box to filter the skill list.
  5. Click any card to view the skill’s README documentation in the right panel.
  6. Click the “Use now” button on a card to insert the skill name into the input box, then edit and send your request.

Technical Details

Skill categorization data is stored in the plugin’s lib/skill-categories.json file, which includes category definitions, skill-to-category mappings, and keyword fallback rules. When redfox-community-dsh adds new skills, the system automatically categorizes them based on the rules and updates the skills mapping entry. The list endpoint re-reads this file on every request, so changes take effect without restarting dsh web.

Uninstall

To remove this plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web remove redfox-skill-gallery
