In daily use with DeepSeek Harness, switching from the desktop app to a mobile device often requires manually copying tunnel addresses or handling complex proxy settings. The dsh-remote-tunnel-easy plugin simplifies this process into scanning a QR code: it allows you to open the Web UI in a mobile browser during the same session, enabling seamless remote access.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a DeepSeek Harness Bundle that scans a QR code to open the Web UI in a mobile browser while remaining in the same session. The plugin is maintained by Raiyan007-gb and is licensed under the MIT License.
Core Features¶
- Scan to open: Generate a QR code on the
Settings → Pluginspage, then scan it with your phone to access the UI. - Same session: The chat and workspace on the mobile device are completely consistent with those on the desktop.
- Self-installation: Automatically detects and downloads the
cloudflaredbinary without requiring manual installation. - Regenerate: Click a button to generate a new tunnel URL without restarting
dsh web. - Editable settings: Supports configuring the tunnel target, the
cloudflaredpath, and session handoff options. - No storage: Each run generates a random URL, and no data is saved.
- Runs everywhere: Supports Windows (x64/x86), macOS (Intel/Apple Silicon), and Linux (x64/arm64).
Installation and Enablement¶
Before using it, make sure dsh web has already been run to create the configuration file.
- Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-remote-tunnel-easy@latest --config.minimumReleaseAge=0
(Adding `--config.minimumReleaseAge=0` bypasses the release age restriction and installs the latest version immediately.)
-
Restart
dsh web. -
Go to
Settings → Plugins, where you should see the DSH Remote card, including the QR code and access link.
Usage¶
- Ensure that
dsh webon the desktop is running and in an active session. - Run the installation command above on the desktop and restart.
- Open
Settings → Plugins. - Scan the QR code with your mobile browser.
- Your phone will automatically redirect to the current session’s Web UI.
Notes¶
- Network access on first run: On the first tunnel startup, the plugin needs an internet connection to download the
cloudflaredbinary from GitHub. - Automatic cloudflared handling: The plugin automatically detects and downloads the official binary with SHA-256 verification. If you need to specify it manually, enter the absolute path in the settings.
- Network environment: Your phone only needs internet access; the tunnel itself is public, and the only access control is the token in the URL.
- Rename note: This plugin was renamed from the older
qrcode-hassle-freeversion.
Summary¶
dsh-remote-tunnel-easy eliminates the hassle of manually entering URLs by introducing cloudflared quick tunnels and a QR code card in the Web interface. It does not depend on a database or Firebase and runs entirely locally, making it suitable for developers who need to seamlessly access the current DeepSeek Harness session on a mobile device.
