Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin architecture. When developing agents or performing model inference, developers often need to manage local tools, vision models, and specific application integrations in a unified way. dsh-multi-tools provides a private, one-time installation multimodal integration solution designed to simplify this process.

Feature Overview

The plugin works as an integrated suite and is compatible with DSH 0.1.2-alpha.3 or newer. It includes the following core components:

  • ModLens Vision Core: Provides text-first visual evidence and supports converting image files into structured log evidence through local Codex, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, or local Ollama.
  • Multi-Tools Settings Page: Provides a centralized settings entry point and dependency status checks.
  • Agent Presets: Provides independently managed agent presets for creative applications, game engines, and CAD tools.
  • Tool Integrations: Includes automation support for ComfyUI, Unity, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Ren’Py.

Installation and Enablement

Before installing, ensure the environment meets the following requirements: DSH 0.1.2-alpha.3 or newer, Node.js 22.19+ or 24+, and pnpm 10.

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:pirate-608/dsh-multi-tools
  1. If pnpm blocks the package’s prepare script, add the allowed package key to pnpm-workspace.yaml in the Web profile, then rerun the command above.
  2. Restart the Web profile.
  3. Open Settings → Plugins → Multi Tools.

Configuration and Routing

ModLens is installed by default but has no route. Routes must be configured under the dsh-multi-tools section in the DSH settings document:

dsh-multi-tools:
  modlens:
    routes:
      ollama:
        type: ollama
        baseUrl: http://127.0.0.1:11434
        model: qwen3-vl
    failover: [ollama]

Each optional integration is disabled by default. Enabling an integration creates its dedicated hosted preset for new sessions.

CLI Usage

The plugin provides the following CLI commands:

  • Check status:
dsh-multi-tools status [--live] [--json] [--integration <id>]
*Note: `--live` only runs passive checks when requested by the user and does not install, download, or launch applications.*
  • Diagnostics:
    dsh-multi-tools doctor
  • Manage integrations:
    dsh-multi-tools integrations set [<id>...] [--json]
  • Runtime management:
    dsh-multi-tools runtime <id> install|remove

Notes

  • This package is private and must not be published to npm.
  • Installation does not install MCP runtimes, download models, or launch desktop applications.
  • Integrations (such as After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, and AutoCAD) are personal builds.
  • Development requires Node.js 22.19+ or 24+ and pnpm 10.

Short Conclusion

This plugin adds multimodal workflows and specific tool integration capabilities to DSH. The source code is hosted on GitHub.

DSH plugin ecosystem context: The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness is “everything is a plugin.” Community directories (such as SkillHub) provide plugin indexes and have no official affiliation with DeepSeek or High-Flyer. Developers should directly inspect the source code and licenses to ensure they meet their needs.
