DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, allowing the Web UI to be customized without touching the product’s source code. dsh-gemini-m3e-theme is a persistent client bundle plugin that repaints the DSH interface as the “luminous” look and feel of Google Gemini.

The theme is maintained by makajo and provides complete overrides for color, typography, shapes, glow, motion, and interaction. All of these are implemented through official extension points, ensuring clean installation, persistence across restarts, and traceless uninstallation.

Core Features

  • Color: Includes 71 two-tone tokens (light/dark), strictly aligned with Gemini’s luminous surface, container, on-surface, and primary color values.
  • Typography: Prioritizes Google Sans Text, then Google Sans, Roboto, and finally the system fallback stack. Code blocks use Google Sans Mono. M3E Markdown hierarchy (headings at 400 weight, body line height at 1.5).
  • Shapes: Composer 40px, user bubble 40px, menus 28px + 20px concentric options, buttons 999px pills, dialog 32px, and tool blocks 16px.
  • Glow and Motion: Hero area luminous radial glow; menu pop-in / dialog enter / staggered rise, using a unified M3E emphasized curve.
  • Interaction: Precise click ripples inside button pills and menus; interpolate-size width/height adaptive transition; scrollbar edge fade and fade-in.
  • Shadows: Menus, popups, and Composer overlays share the same soft shadow specification; popups remove the stroke outline.

Install and Enable

Install the plugin using DSH’s built-in dsh plugin command.

  1. Install:
    dsh plugin add github:makajo/dsh-gemini-m3e-theme
  1. Restart the DSH Web service:
    dsh web
  1. Hard refresh the page in the browser (Ctrl+F5) to load the new theme.

Operations

  • Update:
    dsh plugin update dsh-gemini-m3e-theme
  • Uninstall:
    dsh plugin remove dsh-gemini-m3e-theme

Notes

  • CSS hash changes: The theme relies on CSS-module class hashes (for example, _7KE1Ra_menu). Upstream Harness refactors can change these hashes in format or content. If the theme stops working, search again for the semantic names in the built CSS output and update the T dictionary at the top of the src file.
  • Windows scrollbar compatibility: Windows scrollbars consume layout width. The theme reserves a scrollbar-gutter for scrollable menus, ensuring the panel width does not jump when the scrollbar thumb fades in.
  • Build requirements: The development environment only requires Node.js. The lib/ directory contains build output. If you need to modify source code, run npm run build.

Summary

As a persistent bundle, this plugin provides a complete Material 3 Expressive theme solution for DeepSeek Harness Web, aiming to reproduce Google Gemini’s visual style and interaction details.
