When developing with DeepSeek Harness (DSH) or using it for routine interactions, developers often need to work with APIs from multiple LLM providers at the same time. Manually logging into provider consoles to check balances is tedious and can easily lead to missed warnings that a balance is about to run out. The dsh-llm-balance plugin integrates balance queries into DSH’s Web interface, displaying the current available funds directly below the chat input field.
What Is This¶
This plugin belongs to the online tools category and is maintained by JonyChan1350. It is a lightweight DSH plugin whose core function is to read the LLM provider information configured in DSH, automatically retrieve and display the corresponding API balances, and provide a link to top up the account.
Core Features¶
- Compact display: Shows balance readouts in the status bar below the chat input field.
- Multi-provider support: Supports mainstream providers such as DeepSeek, OpenRouter, and SiliconFlow.
- Automatic refresh: Refreshes data automatically every 60 seconds by default, with manual refresh also supported.
- Top-up link: Clicking a balance can take you directly to the corresponding platform’s top-up page.
- Configuration sync: The plugin is closely synced with DSH configuration. After adding or removing providers, the displayed content updates automatically.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the following command to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:JonyChan8394/dsh-llm-balance
After installation, restart the dsh web service, configure your LLM providers (for example, add API keys), and refresh the page to see the balance display.
Typical Usage¶
Balance queries are currently supported for the following providers:
- DeepSeek
- OpenRouter
- SiliconFlow
- Moonshot / Kimi
- MiniMax
- StepFun
- Zhipu / GLM
For other configured providers that do not expose a public balance query API (for example, Qwen/DashScope, OpenAI, and Anthropic), the plugin displays “Query API not available”.
Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for developers or users who need to manage multiple LLM accounts at the same time and want a clear way to monitor API consumption.
Keep the following points in mind:
* Security: API keys are stored only on the host side, and the browser cannot access them directly.
* API limits: Some providers have not yet enabled a balance query interface, in which case the display shows “Query API not available”.
* License: The project is licensed under the MIT License.
This is a practical tool that helps developers manage API resources more efficiently. The project is available on GitHub: https://github.com/JonyChan1350/dsh-llm-balance.
