Introduction

The feature extensions of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) mainly rely on community plugins. Developers need to browse, validate, and manage these plugins from external directories. @czj-git/dsh-plugin-hub is a plugin that integrates the DSH Plugin Hub community plugin catalog into Harness, providing search, compatibility checking, and installation management.

Plugin Introduction

This plugin belongs to @czj-git/dsh-plugin-hub and is maintained by czj-git. It is an online tool for searching and sorting validated community plugins on the DSH Plugin Hub. With it, you can view the plugin marketplace, installed list, rankings, and task center without leaving the Harness interface.

Installation and Prerequisites

Before installation, ensure the environment meets the following conditions:

  1. DeepSeek Harness is installed.
  2. The Node.js version is ^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0.

The Settings page requires client extension support for the Web profile. Run the following command in the terminal to install it into the Web profile:

dsh plugin --profile web add @czj-git/dsh-plugin-hub

After installation, restart Harness and refresh the page.

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides two usage modes: Settings page management and conversational tool invocation.

Settings Page Management

In Harness Settings, a “Plugin Center” appears on the left side, containing four tabs:

  1. Plugin Marketplace: Browse plugins by keyword, category, and pagination. Cards display the plugin name, author, description, verification status, category, Stars, views, installation source, and primary language. The primary button shows “Install”, “Update”, “Installed”, or “Incompatible” based on compatibility and local state. Click “View Installation Plan” to review compatibility.
  2. Installed: Reads the local manifest of the current profile, including dependency declarations, actual installed version, source, bundle status, catalog version, and enabled status. Supports single or batch updates and uninstallation.
  3. Rankings: Switch between daily growth, total Star ranking, latest listings, or recently active rankings. Supports category filtering and pagination.
  4. Task Center: Tracks the lifecycle queue for the current profile, including queuing, validation, execution, verification, and final status. Supports cancellation, retry, redacted logs, and restart prompts.

Conversation Tools

In a conversation, the Agent can invoke the following tools:

  1. dsh_plugin_search: Search plugins; supports filtering by category, runtime form, installation source, sorting, and pagination.
  2. dsh_plugin_rankings: Query a specified ranking.
  3. dsh_plugin_installed: Query information about locally declared plugins (package name, version, source, enabled status).
  4. dsh_plugin_task_status: Query the status, failure reasons, and restart requirements for local installation, update, and uninstall tasks.

Technical Details

The plugin validates each returned field from the public API and exposes pagination, data update time, and anonymous rate-limiting information. It supports Harness cancellation signals, configurable timeouts, and 429 retry information. Native mode returns compact text; PTC mode returns complete structured results.

Usage Examples

Search in Conversation

You can directly give instructions in a conversation to have the Agent search for plugins:

Use DSH Plugin Hub to search for memory-related plugins, select up to 5, explain their purpose in Chinese, and provide the installation command and detail link.

Check local state:

Use DSH Plugin Hub to check the installed plugins and recent tasks for the current profile, and tell me which ones are active and which ones still require a restart.

Operations in the Settings Page

  1. Open “Settings” -> “Plugin Center”.
  2. In “Plugin Marketplace”, enter a keyword, such as “memory”.
  3. Browse the list, then click the plugin details link or the “Install” button.
  4. In the confirmation panel, review the plan and create an installation task after confirmation.
  5. Track the execution result in “Task Center”.

Notes

  1. Environment requirements: DeepSeek Harness and Node.js ^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0 are required. The Settings page is only available in the Web profile environment.
  2. Installation flow: Installation requires the user to review and confirm the structured plan on the Settings page. A click does not execute changes immediately.
  3. API access: Public catalog access does not require an API Key. Conversational search tools require that an available model is configured in Harness.
  4. Return modes: In conversational tools, Native mode returns compact text, while PTC mode returns complete structured results.
  5. Browser limitations: Browsers cannot directly request cross-origin public APIs. All requests are processed through the plugin proxy.
  6. Version dependency: The relay page requires version 0.4.0 or later of this plugin.

Summary

@czj-git/dsh-plugin-hub integrates the DSH Plugin Hub community ecosystem into the local Harness environment. Through the Settings page and conversational tools, it provides developers with a one-stop solution for plugin discovery, compatibility checking, installation management, and task tracking.
