The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” However, in the plugin ecosystem, non-English command interfaces and arbitrary code execution risks are common pain points. dsh-bridge, as a DSH plugin, aims to address these specific issues.

Positioning and Features

dsh-bridge is maintained by beartackler. It ports the slash commands you are familiar with in Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, or Jcode into the native DSH interface, introduces guided connector workflows, and enforces adversarial review before recommending community plugins.

Core features include:

  1. English-first commands: Provides an English-first command interface.
  2. Trust/adversarial review: Every recommended plugin is reviewed, with a report card citing files and line numbers.
  3. Muscle memory: Provides 17 commands, such as /model, /memory, and /resume, with behavior consistent with previous tools.
  4. Guided connector workflows: Guides users through connector configuration.
  5. Verified catalog: Provides a reviewed plugin catalog.
  6. Command porting: Migrates slash commands from Claude/Codex/Jcode.

Installation and Enablement

Run the official installation command:

npx create-dsh-bridge

The installer performs the following steps:

  1. Checks Node and pnpm versions, and provides remediation commands if any are missing.
  2. Installs the DSH runtime (if it is not in PATH).
  3. Creates an isolated DSH_HOME to avoid overwriting the existing ~/.dsh.
  4. Installs the plugin into the web configuration file.
  5. Prints the startup command.

Note: DSH itself does not provide models, and the installer does not connect to any model.

Typical Usage

Before performing installation, you can use --dry-run to inspect the actions it will perform:

npx create-dsh-bridge --dry-run

After installation, run /bridge-setup in the UI to configure providers. You can then use familiar commands, such as /model, /memory, and /resume. To view the list of vetted plugins, see docs/catalog/INDEX.md.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Use cases: Developers migrating from other harness tools who need an English-first command interface or a strictly reviewed plugin ecosystem.
  • Notes:
    • Plugins run with the permissions of the current DSH process.
    • Review the source code and license (MIT) before installing.
    • The system requires a .credentials.yaml file, and its permissions must be 600 to start.
    • The “ratings” in the catalog are evidence-based opinions, not security guarantees.

dsh-bridge provides a trusted plugin environment and a familiar command interface. See docs/catalog/INDEX.md for the vetted plugin list, or visit GitHub for more details.
