Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a Web GUI for users to develop and debug AI agents. The default interface style leans toward cool gray tones. If you want the interface to reflect Claude Code’s visual characteristics, you can use dsh-skin-claude-code. This plugin redefines interface colors and typography by overriding theme tokens, without modifying product DOM selectors.

What It Is

This is a DSH skin plugin maintained by lucasx001. Its core value is providing the DeepSeek Harness Web interface with a warm, monospaced visual scheme, including dark and light modes, and automatically adapting to system preferences.

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides the following visual and interaction adjustments:

  • Color System: Uses warm charcoal/cream colors for background surfaces, replacing the default cool gray. Brand color, focus states, caret, links, and scrollbars consistently use terracotta (#D97757) as the accent color.
  • Typography Style: Uses a monospaced terminal font (JetBrains Mono, with a ui-monospace fallback). This style is also applied to code blocks and code/pre elements.
  • Automatic Adaptation: The plugin overlays a token-override layer on top of the current active theme, so it automatically follows light mode, dark mode, or system-preference changes.
  • Automatic Registration: It is installed as a DSH bundle and takes effect without requiring manual editing of configuration files.

Installation and Activation

Using the official installation command completes installation and automatic registration:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-skin-claude-code

The installation package includes a convenient installation script that allows you to specify different profiles:

./install.sh # 默认 profile 为 "web"
./install.sh <profile> # 指定其他 profile

How It Works

This plugin does not rely on manually editing cordis.patch.yml; instead, it leverages DSH’s bundle mechanism.

  1. Automatic Registration: The plugin’s package.json declares dsh.bundle.patch, and dsh plugin add adds it to the bundle list for the corresponding profile. On startup, the loader automatically applies its cordis.patch.yml.
  2. Theme Override: During plugin registration, it calls ctx.theme.overrideTokens, using public --dsw-alias-* theme tokens to override the original colors.
  3. Style Injection: It injects a <style> element through the Cordis fiber lifecycle to control monospaced fonts and terminal-style UI chrome.
  4. No Selector Dependency: Because it uses only theme tokens, this plugin can continue to run safely after Harness version updates.

Customization and Modification

The plugin’s style files are located in the lib/ directory. They are hand-written build artifacts and can be edited directly without setting up a bundler.

  1. Open lib/client.js.
  2. Modify the TOKENS mapping to adjust colors.
  3. Modify the CSS template to adjust typography or details.

After making changes, republish or reinstall to see the effect.

Uninstall

To remove this skin, run:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-skin-claude-code

Notes

  • License: This plugin is open source under the MIT license.
  • Ecosystem Positioning: The DSH plugin directory is not officially affiliated with DeepSeek / High-Flyer; this plugin is a community-maintained project.
  • Permission Scope: The plugin runs in the context of the current DSH process; modifications are limited to the visual presentation of the Web GUI and do not affect backend logic.

Summary

dsh-skin-claude-code provides developers accustomed to Claude Code workflows with an interface reskinning solution that requires no manual configuration and automatically adapts to theme settings. With a simple installation command, you can experience the combination of warm tones and a terminal-style aesthetic.
