Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness Web interface, Agent file modifications lack intuitive real-time feedback. Developers have to frequently switch tabs or check terminal output to confirm the changes. The dsh-code-studio plugin integrates file change monitoring and code editing into the DSH Web UI, solving this problem.
Plugin Introduction¶
This is a plugin maintained by WindyPro-rourou, positioned as a file change monitor and code editor within the DSH Web UI. It allows users, without leaving the browser interface, to view Agent file modifications in real time (presented as a Diff), and to revert or manually edit them.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following core capabilities:
1. Real-time file modification monitoring: Based on direct session tool event delivery, without relying on filesystem polling.
2. Multi-workspace coverage + switcher: Supports switching between multiple workspaces, with per-session memory.
3. Per-session isolation: Each Code Studio only responds to modifications in the current session.
4. Session state memory: The change list, open tabs, panel width, and filter conditions are retained per session.
5. One-click revert: Each change entry has a revert button, allowing you to undo all modifications made by the Agent within the current session.
6. Modification history timeline: Replays Agent / user / revert events in reverse chronological order.
7. Send to session: Sends the content of the currently open file to the Agent in the current session with one click.
8. Syntax-highlighting editor: Line numbers, cursor, and scroll synchronization, with Ctrl+S save support.
9. Large-file virtual scrolling: Windowed rendering in the Diff view, supporting smooth scrolling for files with tens of thousands of lines.
10. SSE disconnection self-healing: Events carry sequence numbers + a server-side ring buffer; lost changes are automatically resent after reconnection.
11. Change filtering and search: Filters the change list by path keywords + file type.
12. Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+C toggles the panel, Alt+↓/↑ jumps between changes.
13. Draggable panel: Freely adjustable width, with a UI consistent with the DSH theme.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the following command to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add @windypro-rourou/dsh-code-studio
After installation, restart the dsh web service. A Code Studio entry will appear in the left sidebar.
Typical Usage¶
- Open the panel: Open Code Studio through the change capsule in the conversation header toolbar or the sidebar entry.
- View modifications: Have the Agent modify code. The panel automatically displays a line-by-line Diff for that file (
+added /−removed /~modified). - Revert modifications: For any unsatisfactory change, click “Revert” to return to the state before the Agent started modifying the file.
- File operations: In the “Files” tab, switch workspaces, browse the file tree, and directly edit and save.
- Quick navigation: Use the top search box + type filter to quickly locate changes.
Notes¶
- The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Check the source code and license before installation.
- Files larger than 512KB are not read for content.
- Historical event content larger than 100KB is truncated before saving.
- Changes written through non-file tools such as bash/pwsh rely on file monitoring as a fallback and may have a small delay.
- Revert points are stored in memory and are lost after the service restarts.
Closing¶
This plugin simplifies the interaction workflow for Agent code editing by providing a real-time Diff view and a built-in editor. For more details, see the plugin directory or the GitHub repository.
