On the model management page of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), the official adapter has some missing capabilities. The plugin dsh-llm-hub aims to complete these missing capabilities: gateway reachability probing, model catalog fetching with checked-state write-back, persistent balance/quota display, and visibility of protocols and access endpoints. This plugin is maintained by webkubor and is licensed under the MIT License.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following capabilities to the model page:
- Persistent balance and quota display: Balance information is always displayed below the card, with threshold alert support.
- Model catalog fetching: Supports one-click fetching of the gateway’s available model list; in practice, it can fetch 71 models (for modelgo).
- Gateway probing and status: Displays measured latency, health status, and available model count; it explicitly indicates if baseURL is not configured.
- Usage statistics: Tracks current-month usage, shows the top 5 most frequently used models, and supports CSV export.
- Availability filtering: Silently removes providers that are definitively unavailable from dropdown lists, and marks the cause in red on the card.
- Sub-agent tools: After installation, external agent tools such as codex, claude, and agy are automatically registered.
Installation and Enabling¶
The plugin has zero runtime dependencies and does not modify the DSH installation.
- Run the installation command:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add @dsh-plugins/dsh-llm-hub
-
Add
@dsh-plugins/dsh-llm-hubto thedsh.profile.bundlesarray in~/.dsh/profiles/web/package.json. -
Restart DSH (a restart is required when the boot graph changes; hot loading does not take effect).
Typical Usage¶
- Model discovery: Go to Settings → Model, select the DeepSeek (official direct connection) card, and click Get available models.
- Bypass card details: Under any pi-ai provider card (such as modelgo, minimax, zai-coding-cn), you can view probe results, the fetched catalog, and balance information.
- Extension family panel: At the bottom of Settings → Model, you can view the status of the Webkubor DSH extension family.
Behavior and Notes¶
- Key resolution: Consistent with the official adapter, it supports the resolution order of
request.baseURL,request.apiKey, the environment variable$DEEPSEEK_BASE_URL, and so on. - Security: The balance endpoint allows only same-origin reads and rejects cross-site reads.
- Unavailable filtering: A provider is hidden only when conclusive evidence is available (fail-open policy). If uncertain, it is always retained to avoid hiding usable models.
- No breaking changes: Older configurations remain compatible after upgrading.
