Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness’s billing policy includes distinct peak/off-peak periods. Checking the current phase, countdown, and per-session cost comparison in the Web UI is cumbersome. dsh-tidewatch aims to solve this by providing an intuitive monitoring view through a floating card.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-tidewatch is a Web UI plugin maintained by proDreams. It mounts to the right of the input box in the DSH interface and displays the current billing phase, remaining time, session cost, and detailed token statistics in real time. Its core value is mapping official UTC billing rules to the user’s local time zone and supporting multiple languages.
Core Features¶
- Phase overview: Displays the current billing phase with a color dot (amber for Peak, green for Off-peak) and a countdown.
- Tidal line: Shows the elapsed time proportion of the current phase.
- Local timezone window table: Converts official UTC billing windows into a calendar view in the user’s time zone, with the current row highlighted.
- Weekend rules: Saturday and Sunday (UTC calendar day) are Off-peak all day, and the table automatically merges them into all-day rows.
- Real-time rates: Displays the cache hit/miss input prices and output prices for the current phase.
- Session token statistics: Shows input, cache read/write, output, and reasoning tokens in localized formatting.
- Per-model cost: Click the “Session cost” row to expand and view the specific token usage and cost for each model.
- Currency toggle: Supports one-click switching between CNY and USD and automatically saves the preference.
- True i18n: Card text follows the DSH interface language (EN/CN/RU) for a native experience.
- Shell integration: Reads
--dsw-*theme tokens, supports dark/light modes, and uses official Primitive components.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installation, ensure DeepSeek Harness is installed and dsh plugin is enabled, and that the environment meets Node.js >= 20.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:proDreams/dsh-tidewatch

- Switch currency: Click the currency label in the panel to switch between USD or CNY.
Notes¶
- Version warning: The old npm package
dsh-tidewatch(v1.0.6) has not been updated by the author, and its pricing and rules are outdated. Do not install it. Be sure to use the installation command provided in the GitHub repository. - Billing logic: The plugin strictly calculates rates based on official UTC billing windows and does not make network requests or require API keys.
- Permission requirements: The plugin runs with DSH process permissions and does not require additional network access or API keys.
Summary¶
dsh-tidewatch provides DSH users with a visual billing monitoring tool. By converting complex UTC billing rules into a localized window table and a real-time card, it helps developers manage costs more precisely.
