Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) extends its capabilities through a plugin mechanism. @busabase/dsh-plugin is a plugin that connects DeepSeek Harness with Busabase. It provides agents with persistent context, enabling them to read approved knowledge bases and perform structured data operations, while permission restrictions ensure that all write operations require human review.

Core Features

This plugin adds four core capabilities to DeepSeek Harness:

  1. Trusted Knowledge: Provides reliable knowledge sources by searching approved documents, files, Bases, records, and comments.
  2. Structured Work: Translates natural language requests into structured proposals for Bases, Forms, and AirApps.
  3. Entity Cards: Renders Busabase entities as cards in the conversation, with an interactive Inspector.
  4. Human Control: Locks Agent write permissions at the changeRequest level, ensuring all changes are reviewed by humans before merging.

Installation and Activation

Install this plugin using DSH’s plugin management command. After installation, the Host side and Web side are activated automatically, and the included reviewed Skills take effect.

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add @busabase/dsh-plugin

Typical Usage

After installation, you can directly use the following instructions in the conversation:

  • Create a business structure:
Create a customer follow-up Base with company, contact, stage, expected deal size, owner, next action, and follow-up date. Submit the structure for my review.
  • Knowledge retrieval and suggestions:
Look up the latest enterprise data-retention policy in our knowledge base. Give me the source document and propose updates for any conflicting FAQ records.

Notes

When using this plugin, be aware of the following limitations and mechanisms:

  • Permission restrictions: MCP connections are limited to changeRequest permissions. The Agent cannot approve, reject, close, or merge proposals.
  • Confirmation mechanism: Inspector review operations require new explicit user confirmation by default.
  • Cloud mode limitations: In Cloud mode, Inspector review, merging, real-time refresh, and embedded Base/AirApp preview are limited to local use.
  • Service management: The plugin does not manage or start remote servers. DeepSeek Harness stores OAuth authorization in its credential store.
