Introduction

The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness is a plug-in architecture. When developing or running agents locally, managing connected servers often requires manually maintaining SSH connections. As a plug-in, dsh-server-deck provides a visualized server management entry point for the DSH client.

Plugin Overview

dsh-server-deck is a server card dashboard for DeepSeek Harness, maintained by meyaomiao and licensed under the MIT License. It addresses the lack of intuitive server status monitoring and interactive terminal access in the DSH environment.

Core Features

This plug-in provides the following capabilities:

  1. Server Card Dashboard: Monitors online status, CPU, memory, disk, and latency in real time. Status dots are color-coded to indicate online (with a breathing halo), offline, probing, or unknown.
  2. xterm.js Interactive Terminal: Click a card to enter the terminal directly. It supports 5000-line scrollback, 256-color display, and real-time window size synchronization.
  3. Trend View: Independently records and visualizes CPU/memory/disk changes, supporting multiple time windows (1 hour, 24 hours, one week, one month, etc.).
  4. Dual Mounting Modes: Supports a better-sidebar tab or a standalone drawer. If better-sidebar is installed, it preferentially registers as a sidebar tab; otherwise, it appears as a standalone drawer.
  5. SSH Config Import: Automatically parses the standard ~/.ssh/config file, supporting parsing and import for fields such as Host, HostName, User, Port, IdentityFile, and ProxyJump.
  6. Security Model: API and PTY upgrade routes are allowed only on loopback addresses (127.0.0.1/::1), preventing DNS rebinding and direct LAN access. Passwords and private key passphrases are stored separately in ~/.dsh/server-deck.secrets. (permissions 0600); the ledger file does not contain secrets.

Installation and Activation

Install the plug-in with the following command:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-server-deck

After installation, restart the dsh web command and force refresh the browser (Ctrl+F5). After the restart, a “Servers” tab will appear in the sidebar “+” menu.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the “Servers” tab and click the “📈 Trends” button in the toolbar to view historical data trends.
  2. Click any server card to enter the xterm interactive terminal and perform operations.

Notes

  1. Security: API and PTY access are allowed only on loopback addresses. The secrets file is stored in ~/.dsh/server-deck.secrets. and must be set to permissions 0600.
  2. System Compatibility: Linux / macOS / BSD use read-only POSIX sh probes; Windows OpenSSH uses PowerShell when sh is unavailable.
  3. Metric Collection: Metric collection runs persistently on the host, with a default interval of 10 seconds (optional 30s / 1m), regardless of whether the dashboard is open.

Summary

dsh-server-deck provides a one-stop solution for DeepSeek Harness, from monitoring to terminal interaction. It is suitable for scenarios where managing multiple servers in DSH is required.
