Introduction¶
In the process of using DeepSeek Harness (DSH), tracking token consumption, analyzing cache hit rates, and evaluating costs across different models are common needs. Manual accounting is inefficient and makes it difficult to obtain a global view. The dsh-all-usage plugin is designed to solve this problem by providing a visualized usage dashboard that helps developers analyze tokens, caching, and account balances by model, provider, workspace, and time range.
Core Features¶
1. Statistics and Visualization¶
The plugin provides a 53-week usage heatmap showing daily turns and token details. It supports trend line charts by input, output, reasoning, and total processed volume, with hourly or daily aggregation. Statistics include model statistics (mixed view, merged by model, aggregated by provider), cost statistics, and a price list, with CSV export support.
2. Workspace Management¶
Supports workspace alias management and persists changes to local storage. Supports UI language switching (Chinese/English). By listening to DSH’s domain/changed event, it automatically follows the workspace registry and incrementally processes added or removed workspaces.
3. Data Processing Mechanism¶
The plugin supports full history and incremental reconstruction. It uses the persisted log revision as a change signal, enabling restarts without full reads and reading only changed sessions. It supports data health checks and on-demand refresh to avoid duplicate reads.
Runtime Environment and Compatibility¶
1. Runtime Environment¶
The runtime environment requires Node.js >=22 <25.
2. DSH Compatibility¶
The plugin is compatible with DSH from 0.1.1-rc.1 to 0.1.8-0. The web service depends on the Host’s webServer.
3. Desktop Client¶
The plugin has been verified to work normally on the DSH desktop client (tested version @deepseek-ai/dsh-desktop 0.1.7-rc.2).
Typical Usage¶
The plugin includes samples for reproducible events. Run the following command from the project root directory:
node scripts/replay-fixture.mjs fixtures/usage-events.json
This command loads the real plugin Host, calls the compatible API, validates expected Token/records, and outputs a summary that contains no sensitive information.
Use Cases and Notes¶
Use Cases¶
Suitable for developers who need fine-grained management of local DSH usage data and want to perform cost estimation and analysis.
Notes¶
- Cost Basis: Costs are estimates based on models.dev pricing, not provider invoices. When a catalog is unavailable or a model has no official match, no price is guessed; it is displayed as unpriced instead.
- Interrupted Requests: When an upstream request is interrupted, only
assistant/chunkusage may be available, without a finalassistant/message. This plugin retains the chunk usage, but that does not necessarily mean the provider will charge for it. - Workspace Statistics: Local statistics include only registered workspaces. Unregistered cwd values (including directories that exist but are not registered) are ignored. Historical usage for deleted workspaces is retained and aggregated into a single “Deleted” row.
- Permissions and Security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. Review the source code and license before installation.
Short Conclusion¶
dsh-all-usage provides a complete toolchain from heatmaps and trend analysis to cost estimation, effectively helping developers with usage auditing and cost control. For more details, refer to the Skillhub Catalog or the GitHub repository.
