In DeepSeek Harness (DSH) conversations, to-dos, goals, and reminder rules are often scattered across different sessions. When there are many conversations, it can be hard to remember which items are still incomplete or which plans have changed. To solve this problem, the YOLO plugin is introduced below.

What It Is

YOLO is a memory-oriented plugin built for deepseek-harness and maintained by hanshanyike. Its core value is converting important matters mentioned in conversations into continuously trackable plans. It identifies content that needs follow-up from conversations and organizes it into plans that can be viewed, updated, and reminded across sessions.

Core Features

The YOLO plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:

  • Automatic organization: Identifies to-dos, goals, milestones, and reminder rules from conversations that contain explicit follow-up arrangements.
  • Cross-session storage: Stores data by workspace and supports search, removing the need to restate information in a new session.
  • Status synchronization: When you say “completed,” “move it to Friday,” or “it is half done,” the corresponding item is updated and a record is kept.
  • On-time reminders: Due reminders are sent to YOLO’s notifications and a dedicated conversation without interrupting the current working session; when dsh runs again, it makes up for reminders that expired while offline.
  • Centralized viewing: Open the assistant board from the sidebar; handle current priorities on the Home page and organize all plans in the Plans section.
  • Management and cleanup: Supports explicit cancellation and deletion. Cancelled items retain change records and can be reopened; “Delete items by date” supports batch operations; notification records are complete and traceable, and can be cleaned up.
  • Traceable sources: Preserves evidence such as the user’s original wording, linked conversation, and turn number, and allows previewing the source and opening the original conversation.
  • Duplicate suppression: Retrying extraction in the same turn or retrying the same board action does not create duplicate items.
  • Version notifications: The plugin configuration card shows whether a newer version has been released.

Installation and Enablement

Before installing, make sure the following prerequisites are met:

  1. DeepSeek Harness version is 0.1.5-rc.1 or later.
  2. Node.js version is 22 LTS (>=22.19) or Node.js 24, with pnpm installed (you can enable it using corepack enable).

After the prerequisites are met, run the following command to install:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-plugin-yolo@0.5.0

Typical Usage

After installation, enter directly in a conversation:

  • “Remind me at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow to send the customer interview summary to the product team”
  • “Move it to Friday” or “Already completed”

YOLO automatically organizes the item after the current turn completes. After that, you can handle it directly in the board, or open the assistant board from the sidebar to view and manage it.

Ideal Use Cases and Notes

YOLO is suitable for users who need to track cross-session tasks over the long term and want to reduce repeatedly entered instructions.

Notes:

  • When interpreting conversations, the plugin calls the model configured by the host; data processing depends on the model service used.
  • Data is stored in the workspace’s .dsh/yolo/ directory and isolated by workspace; switching Git branches within the same workspace still shares the same set of plans.
  • The plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. Before installing, it is recommended to review the source code and the license (MIT).

Summary

YOLO focuses on organizing information and providing reminders without forcing operations, preserving the user’s control over plans. If you want to turn information from conversations into manageable plans, refer to the Documentation Center or the GitHub repository.
