Introduction¶
The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin,” allowing users to extend the toolchain via the command line. mattpocock/skills is a repository containing engineering and efficiency skills, but directly controlling these issues and tasks in a terminal or the standard DSH interface is not intuitive. The dsh-mattpocock-skills-deck plugin solves this problem by turning the mattpocock/skills repository into a visual task board in the DSH sidebar, letting you manage issues, view details, and execute skills directly within the AI context.
Installation and Activation¶
The plugin is installed via npm. After installation, you must restart the corresponding DSH entry point for it to take effect.
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-mattpocock-skills-deck
DSH Desktop application users should specify --profile desktop:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-mattpocock-skills-deck
After installation, completely quit and restart the corresponding DSH entry point (for the desktop application, fully quit and reopen it; for the web service, restart dsh web and then refresh the page).
Core Features¶
The plugin is ready to use after installation and includes 25 built-in engineering and efficiency skills. Core capabilities include:
-
Task Board List
Tasks are categorized by status: available, blocked, and closed. Map-type rows are always pinned to the top, and closed tasks are collapsed into a single column. The button on each task row can directly fill a command into the input box and send it. -
Bottom Task Bar
Below the input box of each session, a pill-shaped status bar is provided, showing counts such as available tasks, pending bugs, diagnostics, consolidation, handoff, environment progress, and more. Clicking the main segments allows quick navigation to the corresponding panel page. -
Issue Details and Comments
Clicking any task directly displays the details page, labels, assignee, and comments in the panel, without needing to switch to a terminal. You can reply directly in the bottom input box; depending on the labels (diagnostics, fix, discussion, execution), the corresponding command is shown. -
New Session
At the top of the details page, there is a “New Session” entry. The title is generated automatically, and the inherited command is prefilled. You can start a clean new session to handle a specific task without interrupting the current session. -
Skill Shortcuts
The sidebar provides a skill list with 25 built-in skills. Clicking load fills the corresponding slash command into the input box. -
Multi-Backend Switching
You can switch data sources in the settings page: GitHub, local Markdown, or Other (no backend). Switching only changes the data source; the original backend data is retained and remains visible when you switch back.
Notes¶
- Activation Requirement: After installation, you must restart the corresponding DSH entry point for the plugin to take effect.
- GitLab: GitLab is not currently supported.
- Local Preview: Local Markdown files currently only provide a preview version.
- Mirror Delay: If you are using a domestic mirror, synchronization delays may cause updates to fail. In this case, it is recommended to install using the official registry (
--registry https://registry.npmjs.org).
