Introduction¶
The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” As the community plugin ecosystem expands, developers usually need to find plugins through external directories (such as awesome-dsh-plugin.com), then manually run git clone and place the files into the specified directory. This workflow is cumbersome. dsh-plugin-marketplace, as a plugin, aims to integrate community-curated plugin directories directly into the DSH web interface. It provides browsing, searching, filtering, and one-click installation, helping solve the problem of fragmented community plugin management.
Core Features¶
- Browsing and Search: Provides the complete community directory. Users can search with Chinese keywords, and the search scope covers plugin names, authors, npm package names, and descriptions.
- Categories and Sorting: Supports filtering by 12 categories, including UI, themes, models, tools, memory, and workflows. It also supports sorting by stars, latest additions, and download count.
- Favorites and Management: Supports one-click favoriting and unfavoriting, with persistent state storage. Downloaded plugins show “Installed ✓” and provide an entry to quickly open their directory.
- Details and Download: Displays bilingual (Chinese and English) feature descriptions, the latest GitHub update time, theme tags, screenshots, and deprecation notices. After clicking “Install,” the plugin is downloaded into the local data directory using
git clone, and no build scripts are executed.
Installation and Activation¶
The installation command is as follows:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:PetCT/dsh-plugin-marketplace
After installation, restart dsh web, then find the “Plugin Marketplace” entry on the settings page to use the feature.
Usage¶
- Open the DSH settings page and click “Plugin Marketplace.”
- Use the search box, filters, or sorting options to locate the desired plugin.
- Click the “Install” button. The plugin is cloned into the
~/.dsh/dsh-plugin-marketplace/installed/<owner>--<name>/directory.
Data Source and Security¶
Data Source: The plugin list is preferentially fetched from https://awesome-dsh-plugin.com/plugins.json (a community-curated directory refreshed daily). If the network is unavailable, it falls back to the offline snapshot data/registry-snapshot.json packaged in the repository, which contains 839 plugins.
Security and Limitations:
* The marketplace only allows downloading plugins that are included in the curated list.
* The download process only runs git clone --depth 1 and does not execute any build scripts inside the plugin.
* Inclusion does not imply endorsement. Plugins are third-party code, so only install plugins from trusted sources.
Summary¶
dsh-plugin-marketplace transforms community plugin management from a manual process into a UI-based workflow, making it easier for DSH users to discover and install third-party plugins.
