Introduction

A Web interface plugin for DeepSeek Harness (DSH), maintained by BaihaWhite. The plugin modifies the layout of the chat input box to separate the entry points for the “Command Menu” and “File Upload.” The icon of the original command button is changed to “/”, and a new round button is added for file upload.

Installation

Install the plugin using the official command.

dsh plugin --profile web add github:BaihaWhite/attach-plus

Restart DSH after installation for the changes to take effect.

Usage Flow

After installing and restarting DSH, two buttons appear on the left side of the input box:
1. Click the “/” glyph button to open the command menu (the click behavior remains unchanged; you can still select options up/down or execute with Enter).
2. Click the new “+” button to open the “Image / Document / Other File” menu and invoke the browser’s native file picker.

Feature Details

The plugin distinguishes two processing paths for images and documents.

Image Upload
* Formats: Supports png, jpeg, webp, and gif.
* Flow: Uses DSH’s native draft image pipeline.
* Features: Supports a thumbnail bar and enforces quota checks (5 MB per image / 20 images per message / 100 MB total).

Document and Other File Upload
* Flow: Uploads files via the POST /api/dsh-attach-plus/upload endpoint.
* Storage: Files are saved to the uploads/ directory of the session workspace.
* Draft: Appends an Attachment: path line at the end of the draft.
* Model Reading: The model can read local attachments using its own file tools.

Notes

  • Prompt Protocol: Currently only text / image blocks are supported; documents are delivered by “writing to disk + referencing the path”.
  • File Picker: Uses the browser’s native dialog and cannot be replaced by the plugin.
  • File Size: The upload limit is 20 MiB per file (dual validation on the client and Host).
