Introduction¶
DSH developers often need structured review material when processing session trajectories. Manual organization is time-consuming and can easily miss key steps. The dsh-trace-narrator plugin, introduced below, can directly convert a session trajectory into a redacted report.
What Is This¶
This is a DSH plugin maintained by xiangyun0519. It converts a session trajectory into a redacted structured report and supports HTML, Markdown, and JSON output.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following capabilities:
- Generates structured reports.
- Supports HTML/Markdown/JSON output.
- Five built-in schemas.
- Supports Chinese, English, and Japanese.
- Strict redaction by default.
- Data stays local.
- Agent/Inbox integrated recap summaries.
- Schema validation.
Installation and Activation¶
The installation command is as follows:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-trace-narrator
After installation, it can be used in any DSH session.
Typical Usage¶
- Basic usage — generates a structured report for the current session by default:
/trace-narrate
- Specify the session, schema, language, and format:
/trace-narrate sess_abc --schema postmortem --lang en --format md
- Use a custom schema and adjust the redaction level:
/trace-narrate --schema ./my-schema. --redact minimal
- Specify the output format and local path:
/trace-narrate --format --output ./trace-narrate
Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for session reviews, handovers, or teaching scenarios. It uses built-in schemas to compress long trajectories before passing them to an LLM for summarization and report generation.
Keep in mind the following:
- This is a local plugin, not a public online report site.
- The plugin does not handle real-time collection, multi-session merging, or cloud viewers.
- Reports are saved locally by default; if multi-user access is needed, provide a controlled viewer and upload endpoint yourself.
- Strict redaction is enabled by default; upload is opt-in and accepts HTTPS only.
- Review the source code and license before use.
Conclusion¶
The plugin can generate compliant structured reports through a command-line interface, making it suitable for developers who need to process trajectory data locally. See the GitHub repository for the related code and documentation.
