Preface¶
The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When building products, there is often a gap between requirement discovery and final delivery: opportunities are easy to confirm, but turning them into verifiable, deliverable artifacts and managing the post-release feedback loop are concrete engineering problems. dsh-product is a web-aware plugin focused on the product delivery and PMF (Product-Market Fit) validation layer. It is not responsible for code generation or design; instead, it turns confirmed product opportunities into actionable product briefs, gate checks, and growth handoffs.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-product is a DeepSeek Harness plugin maintained by winyh under the MIT license. It runs on DeepSeek Harness 0.1.5-rc.2 and Cordis 4.0.2, and combines internet research with local project context to turn confirmed product opportunities into verifiable, deliverable, and iterable products.
Core Capabilities¶
The plugin is primarily responsible for product definition, feasibility validation, and PMF evaluation, with the following capabilities:
- Full-lifecycle management: covers product strategy, user/problem definition, POC, MVP, Beta, release gates, PMF evaluation, and growth handoff.
- Artifact validation: uses
product_artifact_reviewto validate product handoff artifacts and ensure deliverables meet standards. - Feedback loop: uses
product_feedback_closeto bind sales or Beta feedback to concrete actions, owners, due dates, and explicit validation states, avoiding the assumption that “the task is done once the document is written.” - Collaboration integration: as a core part of the six-plugin collaboration system, works with dsh-idea, dsh-business, dsh-geo, dsh-growth, and dsh-sales.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before use, make sure your environment satisfies the following dependencies:
* DeepSeek Harness version: 0.1.5-rc.2
* Cordis version: 4.0.2
* Node.js version: satisfies ^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0
Installing the plugin requires specifying a profile (for example, web) and ensuring that the profile has tools and fs provisioning configured.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:winyh/dsh-product
After installation, restart the corresponding profile (for example, dsh web) to activate the plugin.
Typical Usage¶
The typical workflow for dsh-product involves interaction with other plugins in the DSH ecosystem:
- Receive opportunity handoff: receive an opportunity handoff from
dsh-ideaand obtain user or problem definitions. - Define product boundaries: use local context and internet research to define the POC or MVP scope, then pass it to
dsh-businessto obtain business constraints. - Validate deliverables: after product definition is complete, use
product_artifact_reviewto validate product handoff artifacts. - Manage feedback: when sales or Beta feedback is received, use
product_feedback_closeto convert the feedback into action items, owners, and due dates. - PMF evaluation and handoff: receive PMF evaluation data and core usage context from
dsh-growth, then output a product brief and validation plan.
Collaboration and Positioning¶
dsh-product sits in the product delivery layer of the six-plugin collaboration suite. It receives opportunity evidence from dsh-idea and business constraints from dsh-business, and outputs product briefs, scope boundaries, and PMF evidence. These outputs are passed to dsh-business (business strategy), dsh-sales (sales input), dsh-growth (growth handoff), and dsh-geo (content publishing).
It is important to note that the plugin is not responsible for opportunity discovery, pricing/monetization design, sales follow-up, growth operations, or website content execution, and it does not directly create code, design files, or CRM records.
