When working on projects in DeepSeek Harness (DSH), inconsistent documentation or missing AI role definitions are common issues. Without clear standards, AI output often becomes disconnected from the actual project. new-project-init aims to consolidate documentation standards and AI collaboration workflows through a question-and-answer process.
This is a workflow plugin maintained by warm-flame-core, centered on “improving existing projects” to help users organize the documentation system of an existing project or establish standards for a new project. It is cross-platform and supports DSH / Reasonix / ZCode / Claude Code / Codex.
Core Features¶
- Question-driven: Instead of applying reusable templates, it first asks the user questions (such as the tech stack and team collaboration practices) and generates standard files based on the answers.
- Improving existing projects: It focuses on optimizing existing projects, does not modify code arbitrarily, and only records without refactoring.
- Cross-platform adaptation: Supports joining mid-stage and backfilling the documentation system, as well as initializing new projects.
- Generates standard files: Produces CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md, the three-piece memory set, and the five-piece docs + specs set.
- Template support: Provides 31 templates (26 basic + 5 assembly).
Installation and Activation¶
Install it using the DSH plugin system:
dsh plugin --profile web add new-project-init
After installation, the skill appears in the session skill directory.
Usage¶
- Direct invocation: Enter
/new-project-initin a DSH session. - Natural-language command: Tell the agent, “Use new-project-init to improve documentation / initialize the project / backfill the documentation system / iterate.”
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
This plugin is centered on “improving existing projects” and is suitable for scenarios that require unified documentation standards or for joining an ongoing project and backfilling the system. Keep in mind that the plugin aims to organize and record; it does not automatically refactor code.
