Preface¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) emphasizes the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. When developing plugins that involve pixel-level rendering or complex DOM operations, developers often need to confirm which browser APIs are actually available in the dynamic plugin sandbox. dsh-pixel-probe was created to address this issue. It is a diagnostic tool for checking plugin capabilities and helps verify the feasibility of DOM-based approaches such as “runtime rasterization + pixelization.”
Core Features¶
This plugin primarily probes the following capabilities in the browser dynamic plugin sandbox:
- document
- canvas
- MutationObserver
- Image
- SVG icon count
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the following command to install the plugin from GitHub:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:TableRogue/dsh-pixel-probe
After installation, the configuration is automatically appended to the profile’s dsh.profile.bundles.
Startup and Verification¶
- Start DSH:
dsh --profile web
- Verify that the configuration has taken effect:
dsh --profile web --dump-config
Look for the `dsh-pixel-probe` layer in the output.
Typical Usage¶
After installation and startup, open the browser developer tools console. Find the tag [cordis:dsh-pixel-probe], where the plugin outputs a single-line JSON report listing the capabilities available in the current sandbox.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Use case: Used to confirm support for DOM operations, Canvas drawing, and pixel-level rendering in the browser dynamic plugin sandbox.
- Note: This is a dynamic Client plugin, and its permissions depend on the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT) before installing. This plugin is temporary and runs for a single process.
Conclusion¶
As a diagnostic tool for developing Pixel plugins or testing browser sandbox capabilities, this plugin can help developers quickly verify feasibility. For more details, see the GitHub repository or the SkillHub directory.
