Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, and all features are extended through plugins. Managing the server itself (such as restarting it, configuring keep-alive, or installing plugins) usually requires terminal access. dsh-server-admin is a web admin panel plugin maintained by sunnywangzi under the MIT license. It provides DSH with visualized server management capabilities, allowing operations that would normally require SSH to be completed through the web interface.

Core Features

Runtime Status Monitoring

Automatically refreshes and displays the DSH process PID/PPID, resource usage, version, and hosting mode.

Online Restart/Stop

Automatically executes the corresponding command based on the hosting mode (systemd/screen), with 5-second countdown confirmation.

One-Click systemd Keep-Alive

Migrates smoothly to a systemd service, supporting automatic restart on crash, startup at boot, and log viewing.

Online Plugin Installation

Directly executes installation commands in the settings panel, supporting npm package names and GitHub addresses.

Active Sessions

Lists running conversation sessions, collapsed by default.

Command Terminal

Executes server commands with root privileges and provides real-time output (limited to 64 KB).

Installation and Enablement

Install the plugin by running the following command in the terminal:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-server-admin

After installation, DSH must be restarted for the changes to take effect.

Usage

  1. Log in to the DSH web interface and open the settings panel.
  2. Select “Server Management” in the left navigation of the settings panel.
  3. Enable systemd keep-alive or fall back to screen in the “Keep-Alive” card.
  4. Click the restart or stop button in the “Online Control” card (confirmation is required).
  5. View real-time monitoring information in the “Runtime Status” card.
  6. Enter a package name or GitHub address in “Online Plugin Installation” to install it.
  7. Execute server commands in the “Command Terminal”.

Notes

  • API Security: The API only accepts same-origin POST requests from loopback (127.0.0.1/localhost), returns 404 for methods outside the whitelist, and limits request bodies to 1 MB.
  • Permission Scope: The plugin runs in a root-privilege context and has full server privileges.
  • Command Risk: The command terminal executes arbitrary commands without sandbox restrictions. Please verify command contents before operation.
  • systemd Protection: If /etc/systemd/system/dsh.service already exists and was not generated by this plugin, it refuses to overwrite it.
  • Network Exposure: If you expose the DSH web app to the public internet through a reverse proxy, ensure that /server-admin/api is not allowed by the proxy.

Conclusion

This plugin provides visualized management for DSH server operations. For more details, see the GitHub repository or the community directory.
