Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts the “everything is a plugin” design philosophy. When developing agents or debugging complex chains, developers usually need to track component state through logs or event listening. dsh-evo-vis is a host-side plugin that listens to Harness’s Cordis event stream, maps component activity in real time to a visualization panel, and turns every component activity into an evolving deep-sea biosphere.

Core Features

  1. Real-time Visualization
Component state is pushed through an SSE (Server-Sent Events) event stream. It supports mapping and displaying event types such as core, llm, session, tools, memory, agent, and plan. The panel displays the current Provider / Model in real time and provides a pulsing indicator during generation.

  2. Component Evolution System
Components evolve based on accumulated activity energy. From Lv.1 Spore to Lv.6 Supernova. Once energy reaches the threshold, the component levels up, produces an evolution aura or shockwave, and its name evolves.

  3. Zero Dependencies and Zero Build
The panel is written in pure ESM JavaScript and requires no frontend framework. It can be installed with the dsh plugin add command, with no build artifacts and no TypeScript compilation dependencies.

  4. Beautiful UI
Uses a deep-space whale blue theme and glassmorphism design. Includes a Canvas particle engine, supporting visual effects such as nebulae, star points, fluorescent plankton, and glowing nodes.

Installation and Activation

Install this plugin under the Web profile of DeepSeek Harness:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:simplosophy/dsh-evo-vis

After installation, start the Web UI:

dsh web

After startup, visit http://127.0.0.1:3080/evo to see the visualization panel. You can also find the Evo Vis floating entry in the bottom-right corner of the DeepSeek Harness Web UI.

Configuration

In the profile’s cordis.patch.yml, you can override configuration items to control the panel path, the number of retained events, and the heartbeat interval:

- update:
    - id: evo-vis
      config:
        path: /evo
        maxEvents: 400
        heartbeatMs: 15000

Notes

  1. Runtime Environment
The plugin requires a ctx.webServer environment to mount the panel. In headless profiles without a Web Server, the panel is not displayed, but it continues listening to events without affecting Harness operations.

  2. Tech Stack
Pure ESM JavaScript, with no TypeScript build artifacts.

  3. Zero Intrusion
The plugin does not modify the Harness core. It implements functionality by registering HTTP routes and injecting a UI floating entry, and it is fully restored after uninstallation.

Summary

dsh-evo-vis provides DSH developers with an intuitive, real-time, and engaging debugging window, transforming an abstract event stream into a concrete ecological evolution process. This makes it easier to observe interactions and energy flow between components.
