Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness, the Hero area on the empty session page displays “Explore Uncharted Frontiers (Preview)” by default. For developers who need a specific brand tone or a personalized interface, this default style is often not flexible enough. The following section introduces a client-side web plugin that can take over this copy, replace it with custom content, apply artistic text styling, and support extracting colors from the background to generate gradients.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by shenzhantu and is released under the MIT License. It is a pure client-side DOM manipulation plugin and does not require changes to core source code. It mainly solves the problem of highly custom title display on empty-state pages, including text content, font styling, icon color, and color linkage with the background environment.
Core Features¶
- Rewrite headline text: Replaces the default “Explore Uncharted Frontiers / Into the Unknown” with user-defined text (default: “与你的日常,便是奇迹”).
- Hide preview badge: Automatically removes the “Preview” label next to the headline.
- Artistic text styling: Supports gradient/rainbow text (
background-clip: text), white stroke, soft glow shadow, bolding, and letter-spacing adjustments. - Whale icon coloring: Fills the DeepSeek mini-whale icon in the Hero area with official blue (#4176E6) while preserving the hover animation.
- Monet-inspired color extraction: Reads the background image to extract the dominant color and uses it as the headline gradient.
Installation and Activation¶
Run the following command to install the plugin into the web profile:
pnpm dsh plugin --profile web add 'github:shenzhantu/dsh-hero-headline'
Typical Usage¶
After installing the plugin, modify the constants at the top of client.js to apply the changes:
var NEW_HEADLINE = '与你的日常,便是奇迹' // 修改标题文案
var FISH_COLOR = '#4176E6' // 修改鱼图标颜色
// 修改 ART_* 变量可调整艺术字样式(如渐变、描边等)
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Use cases: DSH users who want to customize the visual effect of the empty-state page.
- Notes:
- The color-extraction linkage depends on the
ui-theme-background-customplugin providing the background image. If that plugin is not installed or the background is transparent/solid color, the feature falls back to the default rainbow gradient. - The plugin is implemented through DOM manipulation. If DeepSeek Harness updates its DOM structure or copy in the future, the plugin may silently fail (without throwing errors).
- The plugin is released under the MIT License.
- The color-extraction linkage depends on the
Conclusion¶
With this plugin, developers can replace the Hero headline and optimize visual details at low cost. More details are available in the plugin directory or the source repository.
