Preface

DSH web plugin. This plugin replaces the native workspace browser with a pi-web-style conversation tree, mapping the hierarchy from workspace to sessions, forks, and subagents.

Note: This plugin is in a broken / unmaintained state. It has been replaced by dsh-client-ui-forkspace. The code is for historical reference only, is not built, has no configuration files mounted, and will not accept fixes. There is no migration path worth writing; please install forkspace directly.

Core Features

  • Default flattening: The view defaults to a workspace → session hierarchy, including fork rows and a collapsible > Subagents (N) group. With the default maxDepth: 2, forks at any depth are flattened into level-2 sibling nodes; setting maxDepth to >= 3 enables true nesting.
  • Subagent groups: Each session or fork collects its subagents into a collapsible group, collapsed by default.
  • Archive-friendly: Archived sessions hide their entire group; children of archived nodes are remounted to the nearest living ancestor, avoiding orphaned rows.
  • Hover action menu: Provides rename, fork, and archive actions, consistent with the native dsh sidebar. Uses self-contained inline SVG and a small popup, with no dependency on additional modules.
  • DSH native appearance: Uses a single soft vertical indent line instead of tree connectors; all colors are defined through dsh CSS variables, adapting to light/dark modes.

Installation and Enablement

dsh plugin --profile web add github:an4nsi/dsh-fork-view # adjust profile name

After installation, configuration options need to be added to the plugin line in the corresponding configuration file (e.g., maxDepth).

Notes

  • Status: The plugin is broken and unmaintained; do not install it.
  • Alternative: dsh-client-ui-forkspace is recommended.
  • Compatibility: Requires the DSH >= 0.0.1 web profile and a Node >= 20 environment.
