Preface¶
The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin,” aiming to enhance application capabilities through modular extensions. dsh-kit is a capability plugin package for the DSH browser interface. With a zero-dependency, zero-build architecture, it adds optional capabilities to the DSH interface. When all features are disabled, DSH remains in its original state and does not affect the existing experience.
Installation and Enablement¶
After the host environment meets the requirements, use the following command to install the latest version:
dsh plugin --profile web add "github:zhouzhencheng07/dsh-kit#semver:*"
After installing or updating, restart dsh web. The toolbar will display four toggles: File Tree, Source Control, Knowledge Base, and Terminal. The workbench uses the official right sidebar to host various dock tabs.
Core Features¶
dsh-kit provides the following independent capability modules:
- Terminal: A bottom multi-tab terminal dock bound to the session where it is enabled. The engine is the official
webTerminalsservice and supports PTY. - File Tree: Browse files rooted at the session workspace. Supports create, rename, delete (to trash), copy path, and @ mention in chat.
- Source Control: An in-page git workbench supporting stage, unstage, discard, commit, branch switching, and commit graph.
- Schedule: A read-only panel. Data is structured and persisted to
$DSH_HOME/dsh-kit/schedule/(includingevents/andentries/directories). - Knowledge Base: Left pane with search and directory tree; right pane with reading tabs. Supports bidirectional link navigation (
[[page#heading]]) and local file import with automatic reference handling. - Built-in Browser: Agent-driven, supporting a GUI testing loop with snapshots, actions, and assertions, as well as human-machine co-driving.
- Skill Management: Adds a page to the settings panel, supporting copy, move, delete, disable, and enable skills.
- Mobile Access: Adds a page to the settings panel, providing a token-authenticated gateway (default port 3090).
- Web Search: A free multi-source engine chain that replaces the paid
deepseek-official. - Session Monitor: Automatically retries 429 errors and automatically stops the current turn and resumes when duplicate content is detected in streaming output.
- Session Notifications: Desktop notification API showing popups when a turn finishes, context compression completes, or approval is pending.
- Balance and Usage: Displays the balance chip and usage percentage (DeepSeek shows balance; OpenCode Go / GLM Coding Plan shows window usage).
Usage Instructions¶
- Enable features: Use the toolbar toggles or shortcuts (
Ctrl+/,Ctrl+,,Ctrl+Alt+.,Ctrl+Alt+K) to enable Terminal, File Tree, Source Control, and Knowledge Base. - Configure features: Find the dsh-kit “Configuration” page under “Plugins” in the sidebar. You can customize feature toggles, shortcuts, search result count, session monitor parameters, and more. Saving the configuration writes it to the profile and applies it immediately.
Environment and Dependencies¶
- Host version requirement: dsh ≥ 0.1.5 (depends on the official right sidebar service
sidebar.right). - Node.js: ≥ 22.
- Dependency declaration: Zero-dependency declaration; the runtime resolves dependencies from the profile fallback node_modules.
- Data directory: The default knowledge base data directory is
dsh-kit/vault. - Edit permissions: Workspace files are not edited within the plugin. Editing must be done via agent file tools or a local editor.
