Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) runs on a plugin architecture. whale-desktop-kit is a suite of enhancement plugins and a native desktop application maintained by z-time-007, designed to transform DSH into a work environment with desktop software features.

Core Features

This plugin suite provides the following core capabilities:
* Desktop experience: Supports local wallpaper import, opacity adjustment, glass effect and blur, and provides a top quick bar (dock) and a black whale desktop pet.
* Data sources: Provides data interfaces for DeepSeek balance and Token usage for the current session.
* Document processing: Supports safe reading of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents.
* Personal assistant: Provides local secretary features (checklists, notes, summaries) and document generation tools.
* Security policy: Provides safe auto-approval for read-only tool calls to reduce interruptions.
* Native application: Built as a native Electron desktop app, supporting the system tray and edge docking/hiding.

Installation and Configuration

Before installation, ensure the environment has Node.js (>= 22), pnpm, and git installed.

One-click installation:
Run the following commands to install dependencies, package the plugin, perform security scanning, and build the native application.

git clone https://github.com/z-time-007/whale-desktop-kit.git
cd whale-desktop-kit
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File install.ps1

Prerequisites:
* Wallpaper features require the sharp image library.
* Personal assistant features require configuring a fixed workspace (workspaceRoot) or setting the environment variable DSH_ASSISTANT_WORKSPACE.
