DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture. When using DeepSeek models, developers often face two issues: first, forgetting to switch the billing period (peak/off-peak) and thus increasing costs; second, the need to frequently check the quota consumption of the Go plan. The dsh-deepseek-peak-valley plugin uses a persistent sidebar approach to display these two key pieces of information directly in the operation area.

What It Is

This is a monitoring plugin designed for the DSH Web sidebar and maintained by developer z-col. The plugin reads the local time and matches it against preset time windows to determine whether the current period is high-price or low-price, while also displaying the usage of the Go plan quota.

Core Features

  • Automatic time-period detection: Based on Beijing time, it automatically identifies “peak” hours (09:00–12:00, 14:00–18:00) and “off-peak” hours. Prices during peak hours are usually 2 times those during off-peak hours.
  • Persistent sidebar: There is no need to switch pages; the current pricing can be viewed directly in the left sidebar of DSH Web.
  • Multiple skins: It includes 11 sidebar widget styles (such as dark tech, minimal, ticket, terminal, and so on).
  • Go plan quota display: It supports showing the Go model quota usage for the last 5 hours, the current week, and the current month. The last 5 hours are presented as a pure progress bar.
  • Balance query: It fixed the CNY balance display issue and directly shows the CNY balance.

Note: The pricing data is currently based on the public pricing interface for DeepSeek V4 for demonstration. Formal integration should be based on the official real-time API.

Installation and Activation

The plugin must be installed at a local path. After installation, restart the DSH Web service.

dsh plugin --profile web add /path/to/dsh-deepseek-peak-valley

After a successful installation, the plugin appears in the lower-left corner of the sidebar (above the settings button). You can also manage its enable/disable state and switch skins in the “DS Peak-Valley Widget” section on the settings page.

Skins and Views

The plugin provides 11 different interface styles, and each style includes an expanded state and a collapsed state. The 11th skin (Uninhabited Island) uses a dual-view design.

If you want to preview how different skins look under peak/off-peak states, open the design files directly in a browser:
* deepseek-pricing-widget-styles.html (generic style preview)
* animal-island-widgets-v2.html (dual-view design preview)
