Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a local tool for agent development. In daily use, archiving or permanently deleting sessions often lacks a preview step, which can easily lead to data loss through accidental operations. dsh-session-sight is a plugin that solves this pain point. It provides a zero-dependency, non-invasive session management solution that does not modify official code and allows you to view session contents before performing actions.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is an MIT-licensed plugin maintained by Yidien, focused on “look before you act” when managing sessions. It provides sidebar entry points and a command-line interface, supporting read-only preview of session contents (Markdown), archiving, and permanent deletion to the system Recycle Bin.
Core Features¶
- Zero Dependencies and Non-Invasiveness: It does not depend on any
@deepseek-ai/*packages, uses only Node built-in modules, and does not modify official code. - Sidebar Entry Points: Provides two entry points at the bottom of the sidebar. One is the active session list, and the other is the archived session list. Each row supports preview, archive/unarchive, and permanent deletion.
- Read-Only Preview: The preview panel displays the latest 20 messages and supports GFM Markdown (headings, lists, tables, code blocks, and more).
- Safe Archiving and Deletion: Archiving calls the official
archiveSession, preserving logs and location; permanent deletion moves files to the system Recycle Bin, where they can be restored.
Installation and Activation¶
Run the installation command under the Web profile:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-session-sight
After installation, restart the dsh process and refresh the browser.
Typical Usage¶
The plugin provides 4 core commands, applicable to all platforms.
- Archive Session: Hides the session while retaining the data; it can be unarchived at any time.
/archive-session <id\|标题>
- View Archived List: Lists the currently archived sessions.
/archived
- Unarchive: Restores an archived session to the main list.
/unarchive <id\|标题>
- Permanent Deletion: Moves the files to the system Recycle Bin.
/recycle-session <id\|标题>
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Environment Requirements: Requires Node.js 22 or later.
- Platform Limitations: UI features are available only on the Web, while command-line features can be used on all platforms.
- Semantic Distinction: Archiving and deletion are two different concepts. Archiving only hides a session while retaining the data; permanent deletion only moves files to the Recycle Bin.
